A group of friends and I recently had a great birthday celebration at The Fifth. We ordered a wide range of food and drink and everything was wonderful. We began with appetizers which included roasted Brussels sprouts (amazing! —and I don’t like Brussels sprouts!!) calamari and deviled eggs. Our dinners included shrimp and grits, short ribs, and a decadent blue cheese burger served with home made potato chips. They also have a varied drink menu which includes a good selection of mixed drinks, wine and beer. Next time, I plan to try their mint julep!

No AC on a Sunday when we went. They have a limited brunch menu. Service was incredibly slow and lacked forethought.. no napkins were brought.. no salt/pepper.. no condiments.. didn’t ask about refills. Etc. But once we finally did receive our meal 45 minutes after taking our order the food was good. It also wasn’t crowded, no wait. And I’m wondering if it was because of the AC or the incredibly slow service.

Nice hidden gem with a nice patio vibe. When this Texas heat slows it would be an awesome spot hidden in a neighborhood. The food was season well; plating on the smaller side for the accompanying fries. I would return and try the bar vibe but you got to up your fry game.

Our sever Marisela took great care of us and had some great recommendations! The food was delicious, make sure you try the brussel sprouts. We also had fish of the day which was amberjack and it was deeeelicious. The wagyu burger was phenomenal as well!

The service was top-tier. The atmosphere was super chill. The patio has mist fans blowing for the super hot Dallas nights Definitely check this place out. The portions are kind of small but the attention to detail of the food presentation is remarkable. Try the smoked old – fashion you’ll never forget it. Definitely a hidden gem in Richardson.

Only had drinks. The blueberry lemon drop was tasty. You can feel a slight buzz from 1 but you’ll be drinking more for the flavor and refreshing taste it gives. Beautifully presented drinks (pics attached). That drink is $10. Which is reasonable for the type of restaurant it is. It’s quality. Herb fries were good. You can taste the herbs and a bit too salty for me but thats how fries should be. Again Beautifully presented side dish. They have some interesting entrees I wouldve loved to try. The food smelled amazing though. They have Chicken tikka sewers that sounded delish. They have numerous diff appetizers to choose from such as C&C board (cheese & cracker), hummus, etc.
