It’s a nice little place. I love fish and I have never been here so I decided to stop in one day and it didn’t disappoint. Fish is real clean tasting, not fishy……I got a nice size sandwich and the prices were very reasonable. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant itself has a vintage look to it. Very nice place to dine. Went back several times to eat.

The owner of this restaurant is very nice and can tell he is genuinely enthusiastic about serving you a great meal. The restaurant is unbelievably clean and spotless, and the fish and fries are the best I’ve had. The pieroghis are homemade and a must try! I grew up here and unfortunately just discovered this gem, I tell everyone to try the Fish Boat!

Yes, yes, yes. This place has it all…vintage diner decor, family owned for generations, great prices, and the best…great food. Best fried fish sandwich I’ve ever had. The perogies were to die for. The owner was so friendly and gave us great recommendations. We will be back next trip!

I was so excited to visit the Fish Boat since I havent been in some years. The quality of the food and the prices has really went down hill. I ordered a fish sandwich with mayonnaise. My cousin ordered scallops. As Yu can see no mayonnaise or anything. The bread was soggy and the fish was mushy as if it wasn’t properly cooked. The scallops were very undercooked and chewy. 8 dollars just Abt for a fish sandwich and 9 dollars for 6 small scallops. I wish I could have taken a picture of those before she threw them out. Needless to say I won’t ever visit the Fish Boat again and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. To top it off no one greeted us as we walked in. The cashier looked right in our face and turned her back to us. A man came out to take our order. He was very rude and making faces as if he was upset he had to wait on us. Very horrible experience all around the board. I would give it 0 stars if I could

The food was ok. Very interesting fried oysters pictured below. The staff was amazing and deserve 5 stars. The reason I gave 1 star is because when I asked where the oysters were from the owner said “why do you want to know”. I said I was curious, so the owner in a very condescending way said east coast and walked away. Definitely won’t be coming back.

Fantastic food at a really great price! The broiled scallops are better than Rizzo’s at half the price! It’s seems ridiculous to be eating such gourmet food off Styrofoam plates with plastic silverware but that’s probably how they keep the price so low and it is definitely worth going here to eat!!!

I approach the business, hoping the owner would consider discussing a business venture. I am a pastry chef and the owner of a gourmet bakery my bakery in the state of Florida was on cupcake wars on the Food Network and we won first place in my product is sought after, and I have five star reviews on my Facebook @cupcakes on Main, the owner told me he wasn’t interested I was too old and never even let me finish speaking before he told me pretty much to leave his store. Kind of funny how things work out, my items will be sold down the road at a coffee shop opening up in Johnstown and working on a storefront in Windber.
