We are one of the only place to have ALL FRESH AHI POKE, that is cut daily. Ahi not frozen or treated with preservatives. We offer a great poke bowl with abundant topping to choose from. Our grill is Monday – Saturday from 10 am – 2pm, closed on Tuesdays. Sunday hours are 10am – 1:30pm. We offer daily hot lunch specials along with a children’s menu. Since we only serve fresh Ahi and don’t use it the next day, the later you come in the day the smaller the selection. But if there is any poke that you want and not in our case, as long as you purchase a half pound we will make if for you. Looking forward to serve you soon..

I have been eating at The Fish Express for over 15 years, and I have never been disappointed. Always one of my first stops when on island. Their poke is always fresh and delicious with a ton of variety, nice selection of local fish for the grill, and AWSOME hot lunch plates…..with the BEST potato mac salad on an island. People working here are always friendly and helpful. The food is so good that they get very busy….please be patient and replicate their Aloha. At peak hours, I usually just park at Walmart and walk across the street. Plenty of places with a nice view to enjoy your hot lunch, but I usually never make it out of Walmart’s parking lot. LOL

No doubt the best poke in Kauai. We had it a handful of different spots while on the island and had to come back once more on our way to the airport. The first day we went with Spicy poke bowl and Macadamia crusted mahi. Large portions and great flavor. Both visits we had great service from everyone we interacted with. Next time we are on the island this will be our first stop!

Come here for the poke! I got a poke bowl here and it was so yummy! I got the shoyu ahi and the Maui onion ahi on sushi rice. I topped it with pickled ginger, cucumber, edamame, and a salmon pico de gallo thing. There was also the option for spicy mayo, unagi sauce and wasabi. I tried both the spicy mayo and eel sauce and both make for a great bowl. Sauce is also definitely optional as the fish is seasoned itself. The ahi was very tender and melted in the mouth. Highly recommend the poke here.

Hands down, BEST POKE IN KAUA’I!! This is the first place we stopped on our week-long trip for our honeymoon and it truly set the bar. No other poke place even came close to the smoothness and freshness of the fish here. It’s very unassuming from the outside, but it cannot be beat!!
