The best fish spot before the pandemic. The restaurant is temporarily closed. If you can remember the first time your taste buds fell in love with a food that tastes so delicious it’s The Flaming Fish located in the downtown Buffalo district. I had good fish but nothing beats The Flaming Fish. Thank you and I look forward to the doors reopening.

Hidden gem downtown Buffalo. Amazing southern options lobster grilled cheese, catfish tacos, strawberry salad, candied yams and sweet potato pie. Dine in, take out, and delivery options. Welcoming and friendly staff. Must try!!

It’s a pretty decent place to get fried seafood if you’re in the mood for it. The fish and the batter itself isn’t drenched in oil… which is a problem in most place. Their sides are alright… fries and the mac and cheese were good, the cabbage was alright… probably stick with other options. From a value standpoint, their sandwiches and tacos are a better option instead of entrees. The restaurant itself is very clean and well-maintained. We went at a weird time 3pm… so it wasn’t crowded.

The whole crew is incredibly amazing! Especially Damon who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and left happy. The food was just as good; I highly recommend the lobster grilled cheese, but you really can’t go wrong!

Amazing. This place is busy. it’s probably best to use their app to order ahead. Either way, it’s worth the wait. I Definitely got my money’s worth. I Got the combo fish and shrimp dinner. I originally thought I would save some for lunch. Well… that didn’t happen. Highly recommend this place.

This review is for The Flaming Fish food truck on 8/17/23. Normally I try to abstain from a negative review when I don’t like a meal, but this was terrible. The fish sandwich was tough, the fries squidgy and still somewhat raw, and the tartar sauce was sugary. If that wasn’t bad enough, it took ~25 minutes for it to come out and cost $20. The one good thing I can say is that the lady manning the window seemed personable enough.

Wow! Wow! Wow!!!!!!!!! First, let me say this Buffalo you are so blessed and lucky for two reasons, one because you have one of the best Fish/soul food restaurants in NEW YORK STATE HANDS DOWN but more importantly you have Deanna and Shonellas friends, family, and neighbors. Now back to the food! I’ve had fried fish all over the country and nothing and I mean nothing compares to my dining experience here. My wife and I were blown away by the perfectly prepared meals. When I say perfect I mean perfect!

Always used to see their food truck all over the city. Always wanted to give it a try. Just kinda came across the restaurant driving around downtown looking for a bite to eat for lunch. Decided to stop on in and give it a try. Love the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. They had some nice music playing. I had a strawberry lemonade and some of the Buenos Nachos with the Chicken. It was some of the best nachos I’ve ever had. Very flavorful! Will definitely be coming back in the near future. Just a little FYI downtown parking is always a hassle.
