Came here at 11 on Sunday before grocery shopping for a “quick” breakfast. We were set right away, that was a surprise for a Sunday morning. Then it went downhill from there. The waitress came by, got us our drinks, and said she would check back in a minute. 25 minutes later, I had to ask if we could get someone to take our order. I saw her checking on other tables, refiling to go cups rather casually and checking her smart watch. Once the hostess reminded her about us, she came right over, apologized, and owned that she forgot us. All good, from there I’m good with a fresh start, if you own it. I ordered the stuffed French toast and eggs. My wife ordered the chicken sausage pancakes. The waitresses double checked off she wanted both chicken sausage or one with bacon. Great suggestion, but my wife went with both chicken sausage. She said she would make sure our order was rushed, which we needed at this point, since we needed to go get kids soon. Well, it took another 25 minutes to get our food, and then my wifes order was wrong (both pancakes with bacon). She did comp her food, so I do appreciate that. The food overall was fairly good, but nothing special. We will not be back.

I just go behind the counter myself to get my own silverware. Nobody can have a problem with it if there are literally no employees out to be able to see you do it! Neither the server nor the runner care if you have to eat your grits with your fingers, because they’re so under-staffed that they simply don’t have the time to reach under the counter. Once, the kitchen was so backed up that the manager comped my meal in apology. My chair’s back is held on with tape. You gotta wave someone down to get your coffee topped off while they do clean or side work in front of you. I am, however, completely addicted to their biscuits, the eggs seem to be real, the prices are good, and I eat here consistently once or twice a week. Darn those biscuits … they sell them by the dozen and half-dozen. Madjugal Inc must be sending eight kids to college on the profit from this joint.

Awesome staff that are very attentive and they even apologized for the short time we had to wait! Had brunch here after a hike at the Golf Branch Trail and it was worth it.

I was there Mother’s day (5/14), the food took 40 minutes for two people but they were busy so I understand. Our server was pretty good except for when she put an extra $1 on her tip which I found slightly disrespectful considering I had already given her a good tip. Prob won’t come back

Went here on a Sunday morning and I understand that is a busy time for breakfast restaurant. However, it took 25 minutes to even get our drinks (3 waters). Another sour note, we had to flag down our waitress for the bill, she just grabbed our card off the table and then slammed down the copy for us to sign. For how much we paid and the service we received, the food was not worth it. Needless to say, we will not be returning

Came here for a second chance since a month ago had a bad service experience. Decided to give it a chance again at 1:30pm Sunday, restaurant half full. Hostess was attentive and we were sat immediately. Saw two servers waiting tables in the restaurant. Saw possibly 3 others hanging behind the bar chit chatting. Waited for a while and told myself be patient someone will come by. No one did and my girlfriend got up and went to the bar and ASKED for a SERVER!! I knew it was downhill from this point. Server shows up , black guy, didn’t write anything down as we gave him our order, i as a previous restaurant manager told myself don’t worry he could have incredible memory. So we waited on our coffees. Again never got our coffees, figured someone would have came by and said hey we are making fresh coffee can I get you two waters while you wait? I guess I’m too critical and expect too much. We waited and finally just stood up and left. I have plenty of patience and my gf has the same but even more so for her to go get a server and then tell me we are leaving was big!!!. This was our second chance wasted at this location. I started going to flying biscuit in 1996 at the Candler park location and have even got a Flying biscuit cook book signed by the original owner in Decatur. Anyway I talked this place up only to be burned again!! So sad bc this is a great location and the food even franchised is good . No manager was visible as I assume maybe in the back maybe cooking? Not sure but this place needs help.

The food was tasty when it finally arrived – 50 minutes after we sat down. The restaurant wasn’t full and we were sat in 10 minutes so we were taken aback by the wait. I don’t think the food was good enough to justify going back and risking it again. The table that sat beside us actually walked out before their food hit the grill because and said this was the third time they’d experienced this.

Service was excellent! Our waitress was very nice and helpful. Food was absolutely delicious and made exactly as ordered without any issue. Definitely making this our regular get-together brunch/lunch place.

Gave our name for the wait list- they said they would call our phone. There was no where to wait inside so we stood outside for a while in the feeezing cold. Finally decided to sit in the car. After waiting 15 min (they said the wait was 20 min) we went inside to check and they claimed they called 10 min earlier. We showed our phone – got no calls. They had the correct number. So they really didn’t call. But the actual rub was that they weren’t even apologetic. – and put us at the end of the list!

Today March 15, 2021 was their opening day. They were staffed up and ready! Everything was on point and delicious as you would expect from Flying Biscuit. Due to Covid19 they space everyone out so you’re not right next to table/booth for safety. We met Ernest the owner and Jason the manager as they came to check in on the table. Very pleased and look forward to coming back in the near future.
