A group of us ate a spot called “The Food Market” in Columbia, MD. The service was good and the food was excellent. I had the crab cake sandwich which was good and no shells in it. I loved their drinks as they were extra yummy. Try them out. I think you will like it.

We came here for the first time and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere is loud and lively. We had reservations but still had to wait about 10min before being seated. This is definitely a popular spot. The place is clean and we noticed how the servers and staff kept things that way. The drink menu has a good variety of common and unique drinks. The food menu was great with a wide variety. We especially liked on top of your standard offerings, they also had a veggie menu with a good amount of choices. There is something for everyone here. The portion sizes are perfect as well. Our server was nice but at times there was a short wait for her to circle back with us, most likely because of how busy it was. There is free parking in the lot and parking garage behind the restaurant. We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone! We’ll for sure be back in the future!

Went for a dinner date on a Friday night. If I’m being honest, the venue was a little crowded for my liking and cramped due to the volume of people so I’d go on a slower day or time. Again I went on a Friday night near Columbia Mall. Of course it was busy. Regardless, we were seated quickly. The food was delicious everything came out perfect and in a timely manner. I ordered the short rib. Our server was the nicest guy.

So the visual effects of the food and drinks are awesome. For me I didn’t enjoy the taste. My biscuit was so hard I didn’t even bit into it…others at the table that had toast took the food of the bread as the toast started to cut the top of their mouth. The food is basic..a lot of the food is either extremely bland or over salty like the potatoes. The wait time for the food was longer than most establishments but we were a party of 9 so maybe that was the issue. The hostesses and the waiter provided great service. Drinks were eye catching but extremely strong…so be ready… I don’t think I will be revisiting this location.

I love trying new local spots, so when my friend chose The Food Market in Columbia as our dining choice for her birthday, I was excited. The restaurant is sorta hidden outside the mall, but parking was easy in the garage. The vibe was nice, the servers were very friendly and my beef short rib was very tasty. I even enjoyed the gourmet popcorn they serve before your meal (my initial thought was this is “corny”, lol)! I couldn’t give it five stars because the little bit I tasted of my friend’s fried chicken was not good at all. I also feel they are a bit overboard with the menu descriptions. Trying to be too clever, almost. Nonetheless, it’s a nice restaurant that’s close by and well priced. I’m sure I’ll go again!

Made a reservation for an early Sunday supper to celebrate a friend’s birthday. I loved the vibe once I walked in the door – the warm hostess greeting, the prompt seating, industrial/minimal decor, and 90s R&B playlist made for a great atmosphere.

I didn’t realize they opened one in Columbia MD. Friendly and accommodating staff. The food was delicious. The 3x cooked wings and housemade dip were delicious! The cabbage dish was just ok, a little too soft for me. Besides that, all three of us were pleased with our food. Would definitely go again. There was a free parking garage right next door.

This was my first time here and my daughter choose this location. We loved the atmosphere and decor of this place and the food was amazing. Like everything we had was awesome. The wait time to receive our food was around 45minutes and it was a Sunday later afternoon but we enjoyed each others conversation in the meantime. I had the Gucci lemonade, crispy Brussels sprouts and Candied Bacon Bao buns. Instead of bread, they offer complimentary popcorn which was a light touch. All in all, I’ll definitely be returning.

Very convenient location with plenty of parking and outdoor seating is available. The staff is very friendly and considerate. The atmosphere is positive and contemporary. The food is creative and fresh. Once the order was placed the food was at our table in just a few short moments. The prices are reasonable for the high quality food and dining experience we received. We did have to send one of our dishes back because one ingredient was added that we had requested to be removed from the meal when we originally placed the order. This was no problem at all. The staff quickly addressed this issue and we were able to thoroughly enjoy our meals. I will no doubt be back again. This restaurant is wonderful and the staff really made this experience great.
