I went to Rouge last night with my friend. The food was amazing and every dish we ordered tasted fantastic. (Short ribs, giant macaron, tomato artichoke salad.) The drinks were not bad. (For a better craft cocktail, I recommend The Cave.) Unfortunately, the service was not commensurate with the prices. We were rushed non-stop from asking if they could take our plates when over half our entrees remained, taking our drinks without asking when I wasn’t finished, and asking again if they could take our plates after 3 bites of our desserts. Although the food was impeccable, I’m unlikely to return to the speakeasy part of the restaurant due to the rushed atmosphere. A better option at this price point is Hyde & Chic. Similar intimate vibe and equally good food.

Rouge – Only 6 tables in a secret “speakeasy” back room of The French restaurant makes this a special spot for a romantic dinner… The dinner was delicious the service was good. To make this a true velvet underground feel – ditch the plastic plants, add chandeliers and find a way to minimize the chatter from The French restaurant… ohhh and please Queens Olives in the martini

Overall, I had a fine dining experience. Service was impeccable and our food came out quickly. The ambiance was beautiful. The food was good, but honestly not worth the price. I’ve had much better meals at this price point, thus my 4-star review.

We had tried the restaurant for the first time after some friends recommended it for their deserts (the french eclair). We had a shrimp cantaloupe salad, a waldorf croissant sandwich, chicken paillard and duck leg. For desert we tried the huge eclair. We were kinda disappointed on their croissant. It felt like it was bought from Walmart and then used for the dish with some chicken salad inside. We tried the croissant sandwich at Food and Thought 2 and it was way more flavorful and cheaper price. Same thing with the eclair. It looks amazing, and for the taste… looks amazing. Not much flavor to the eclair either. Expected more from it regarding the name and the cuisine of the restaurant. The duck leg was kinda dry a bit over cooked , potatoes were good, the best out of all was the shrimp cantaloupe salad. Will give it another try. Stephanie was our server and she did a great job for her 4th day at the restaurant.

Great restaurant right in the heart of famous 5th Avenue. Service was great. Food tasted great and the portions were much bigger then you would normally get in a French restaurant. Overall great atmosphere and also they have a huge selection of good wines fir any budget. Highly recommend it.

There’s a reason this is our favorite restaurant in Naples. The service is always beyond outstanding. Every single time. The fare is elegant and complex yet made with beautifully simple, fresh, excellent ingredients. It’s a work of art you get to eat. Finally, the house cocktails are the best I’ve had anywhere.

4.5 stars would be my final rating. Very nice place with good food. We tried the shortrib and the chicken croissant, and they were both delicious. Service was good too. My only deduction of a half star is because I think it was a bit overpriced for what the actual food offered. Still, worth going.
