My wife and I went here today to celebrate her birthday. I expected the meal to be good but it exceeded our expectations in every way: I just got back from a trip to Europe and this place gives anywhere I ate on that continent a run for its money. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and amazing food. We will definitely be back.

This was my first time ever trying French cuisine. Was a little intimidated by the prices, however I must say that I was not at all disappointed. In fact my expectations were beyond exceeded. My only complaint is that I didn’t know what to order because everything looked so good! The whipped goat cheese appetizer is very good. The coffee was also pretty good. However, the real show stopper was the duck Benedict. I had never had duck before so I was skeptical of trying it especially since it is on the pricier side. But my god is it worth every penny. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The duck wasn’t at all fatty. The English muffin was as light and fluffy as a newly formed cloud. And not to mention that heavenly, golden hollandaise sauce. In my opinion the hollandaise was just a tad bit too buttery, but that’s just me knit picking. My mother ordered the quiche. I’m not the biggest fan of quiches but one bite of it completely changed my mind. I will 100% be trying to go there every Sunday for brunch!

Since two of my former coworkers raved about this place, I decided to come here with a group of friends after an event. Mind you, we went with food options that were more low budget, so I cannot vouch for any of the pricier meals. However, can definitely say that the service was, for the most part, lovely and accommodating to our various questions. (The other customers giving dirty looks? Not so much. I wasn’t expecting this restaurant to be along the lines of fine dining, as it was a casual recommendation, so we didn’t necessarily dress the part. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, please keep that in mind if you don’t want other restaurant goers gawking at you the whole time.)

What could have been a very charming place was quite pretentious. A very beautiful setting but clearly provided levels of service based upon their opinion of whom they were serving. We ordered appetizers, wine, shared an entree, and ordered dessert. The Fillet Grille was served with an Oxtail Carrot, but watch out for pieces of the actual oxtail – I found a very hard piece of small bone in mine that had the potential of breaking a tooth. I let our server know just in case this might happen to someone else and he said the chef said that “you should expect that with oxtails”. REALLY! For $42.00, I paid to have someone make sure there is NO bone!Other than that, it was delicious. For dessert I ordered the citrus tart. The meringue was grainy – the sugar was not adequately dissolved into the egg whites, giving the impression you were eating sand with your tart. What could have been a delightful experience was reduced to what could have been better.

I had a terrific meal at the French Goat today. It is an absolute MUST if you are in Lewisburg. As someone with TONS of dietary restrictions, they were careful to accommodate and made it very comfortable to adjust my order to suit my dietary needs; but still get a wonderful, French-style meal with all of the delicious flavor and excellence that everyone raves about. I will be back next time I am in Lewisburg. THANK YOU!!!

My husband and I visited this place for our 1 year marriage anniversary and we traveled 3+ hrs to get there. If this place is what fine dining is defined as, I am sold. The interior of the restaurant was tastefully decorated, and had an ambiance of home. We did not partake in any alcoholic beverages but the wine list was extensive. We did however try the faux jito which was better than any ETOH I’ve ever had. The food was exquisite, and unique. Every bite was bursting with flavor and moist. Even the fries (frites) had a unique flavor. We were sad to see every portion end. I savored every dish we had down to the bread. I had the steak and frites. The sauce over the steak was heavenly, I’ve never tasted anything like it. Our server was attentive and efficient was definitely more educated than my husband and I on manners and tableware. He brought our desserts out with candles for celebration which was a nice personal touch to the meal. Order the Mousse au chocolat for dessert, it was divine. The prices are somewhat expensive but worth every penny. I have took all four of my household to a steakhouse and paid more money for way less quality in the past. I am already dreaming of when we can go back.

Overall, a very nice experience, and we will be back. Thank you for a fine dinner and a pleasant evening. A couple points, though, offered in a friendly, respectful manner: The tap water should have ice in it (at least in the pitcher). The wine glasses and water glasses should not be the same design. The glasses were not spotless, although I may be incorrect on this because of the dim lighting. The old-fashioned should have been in an old-fashioned glass, and should have filled the glass, not 60% full for $15! The ahi-tuna salad was good, but could have used more of everything, especially the ahi tuna, for $33. Our other entrees were a bit on the small side as well, but well prepared. I presume the hard pea items in the chicken dish are part of the recipe, but quite hard to bite down on. You ran out of bread, which was a shame because it was very good. The wait for the entrees to arrive after our soup was finished was too long, about 35 minutes. Michael was excellent.

One of my top favorite meals I’ve ever had. Every time I’ve been here it has been incredible. The service is amazing from people taking your coats at the door to making your dining experience entertaining. Their steaks, fish, pasta, everything is soo delicious I always look forward to another meal here!
