The Frog and Turtle is a gem. My wife and I have been coming up to Maine to see Chef James & his amazing staff ever since his days at Uffa some 20 years ago. The staff is always courteous and friendly, always taking the time to make you feel welcome no matter how busy it is in there. The drinks are creative and fantastic. And the food…..the food is simply amazing, all made to order and with beautiful presentation. If you go on the weekend, there is always top notch live local music, which just adds to the experience. And if you go on a Sunday, you’ll be treated to the best brunch in New England!

We had my daughter’s Baby Brunch last Saturday and it was a huge success. We rented the top floor for the occasion and the food was absolutely delicious!!! We were blessed with two amazing staff members who went out of their way to make everything perfect. I would like to add that I was impressed with the owner who checked in with us a few times to make sure we were happy with everything. Thank you so much!!!

I had such I hopes for this place. I’d call it an upscale dive bar. Great look and even better music for sure. But that’s where it stops. I ordered an old fashioned and it was anything but good. The special of chicken tacos was drowning in bbq sauce. Rice was a bit dry too. Very unfortunate visit for sure. I hope all the best if they visit this place.

Waiter was ok, food took to long, over an hour, tasted ok. Place was not busy, appetizers took a while to, scallop cakes over cooked on one side and barely cooked on the other. Had Pastrami burnt ends way to peppery!!!! Main meal took over a hour. Guitar player was the best thing about our time there.

Hi James, to say your Brunch was spectacular is an understatement!!! It was freakin’ awesome!! Food was fabulous, folks could not stop talking about how wonderful all the food was. The upstairs room was perfect for our 55 guests, so bright and sunny. Staff Pat, Jackie and Juliana were perfect like everything at your great restaurant. Everyone was impressed and I thank you for making our party so successful. You and your team are the BEST!!!

The Frog and Turtle is a beautiful two floor restaurant right on the Presumpscot river. It overlooks Westbrook and has delightful patio seating on the second floor. The down stairs is a modern tavern style dining room with a large open bar. The upstairs is open breezy and remodeled. The menu was great from home made donuts to home made eggs Benedict. The drinks are made fresh and delicious by the very cheerful bar staff. The servers were on a top level of service from personal conversations to friendly smiles these servers will put a smile on your face on your worst day . We had the delightful and energetic Alex as our server and she was AMAZING! She was fast, personable, respectful, and most of all a great overall server! Roza pitched in with pre bussing and serving the food and was a great section buddy ! The teamwork at this restaurant is top tier I would recommend for all groups of people!

Took a good hour before we got our burger and chicken tacos.Drinks were not the best for the price. Place was not crowded it was a good thing to be seated by a window and had some entertainment on a Thursday. Frog and Turtle will not be a place we will be back to.

Very awkward dining experience. Service was terrible (pretty sure our server was under the influence of something), they were out of everything and they made us feel very unwelcome for not having a reservation. We were at the table for almost 20 minutes by the time our server came over for the first time. Mind you he was not busy- he was standing around, pacing back and forth staring into space and just ignoring us. This was the case the entire time we were there, and of the few times he chose to acknowledge us he was very awkward and unpersonable. The food was bland and did not come as described on the menu. Total waste of money.
