Spicy not hot! A total LA institution. I forget the dish name but get the shrimp in the cilantro cream sauce. Too good. Mole is pretty spot on too, but for that hit Guelaguetza

Consistent good food. Soy chorizo taco is my favorite. Variety of enchiladas makes choosing difficult. It’s chaotic if you pick it up yourself. You’ll need to elbow delivery drivers in the doorway.

There’s no place better in WeHo or the surrounding areas for authentic Mexican food, with the most incredibly friendly service. Having lived in central Mexico for many years, I feel like I can say that with great confidence. Sabe bien chilango!

I pulled a long dark hair out of the burrito with my teeth. Thankfully, that was my first bite so I can’t comment on the quality of the food beyond that.

Nachos were bomb! I did them with the El Pastor, delicious. So much food and so well priced especially in today’s economy! I’ll def be ordering those again on my next cheat day.

The first time I went to The Gardens of Taxco was in 1992. I feel in love with everything about the dark, 70’s deco style place with no written menu, occasional celebrity spotting, and long lines of devoted customers. One time we waited 3 hours – before cell phones. Yes, it was worth it. When they closed their original multi generation restaurant, we cried. They promised to reopen for take out. We couldn’t see how that would survive with all the bougie restaurants paying high rents that were closing in.

Best Mexican food restaurant in all of LA. Great cooking techniques. Quality of ingredients is also great too. Love their smothered burritos, both styles of their tacos (hard and soft) are spectacular. Their enchiladas plates, burrito bowl and nachos are lights out as well. I’ve order almost all of their menu and I’ve never had anything bad. Staff is ultra nice and cool, once again the Best Mexican food restaurant in all of LA

The food is delicious, very flavorful, and portions are large. Salsa and chips always fresh. Always a great meal for pick-up or delivery!

Their food and production is amazing. Not only is the food authentic and perfect, but the preparation is perfect and fast. Fast and friendly service, but most importantly delicious food. Worth every penny every time I order.
