Went here for the first time for a work event. The place was lovely upon arrival, clean and easy to find as it sits right next to Fort Harrison State Park and golf course. It is a bit dated with lots of wood, but I can see why it would be a popular place to host an affordable wedding, party, shower+. The food was good but nothing special. We were supposed to eat at 6:30, but not sure why it was delayed by maybe 15 minutes. We heard there is brunch here, but I am not super compelled to come back. Seems it would be popular with older people as the place is just as about Indiana as it gets! (Not in a negative way)

20 people in line at cashier, we went to be seated and was told we had to pay before being seated?? What world do we live in where we pay before we eat at a restaurant? Couldn’t even order off the menu, only buffet available? Will be the last time I walk inside the Garrison.

Sorry to say, the Garrison isn’t what it use to be for dining. It has less food to offer and at no time was the meat tuff or the fish dry back in 2021. It also had a wide choice of desserts now you get 4 choices on a small table. Now the kicker, it was 22.00 now it’s 31.00 for each person. But I will say the new carpet looks nice.

It was freezing inside, if you go bring a sweater. The waitress was nice and accommodating but the service was extremely slow despite the fact that we were two of six people dining and there were three cooks. The food was good but we won’t go back.

Horrible. Myself and my family, along with both sides of my grandparents came for Mothers Day Brunch. We had a 1PM reservation time. We waited in line for 40 minutes, watched others get sat after complaining for waiting. Finally got seated after having to mentioned lack of service, grabbed our food and ate everything. Our server made it or the table for drink orders AFTER we were done eating. The orange juice tasted like orange WATER. Mentioned it to the server and never got a new glass. Nonetheless, we have 4 handicapped and they sat as at the back corner of the room, completely inaccessible for people with trouble walking and moving. Completely careless. It was a buzzkill to the day, the staff was not at all friendly. The exact opposite of a family friendly restaurant – utter and complete chaos. Needs to be looked at from managerial point of view.

Pretty horrible brunch options. Dropped 30 per person, had maybe half a plate each before leaving hungry. If you enjoy low-mid tier/over cooked food and a small number of options, you’ll enjoy it.

My family attempted to go to Sunday Brunch today and were turned away from a Buffett? We were told we needed reservations for a buffet-our party could not understand how many people ahead of us and after us were able to enter and enjoy brunch which totaled more than our party but we were not allowed to enter. The hostess was not welcoming, it’s disappointing the treatment we experienced.

I visited the Garrison on one of their busiest days (Mother’s Day). The servers are great for the number of people they have to serve. I have not been disappointed even during Co-vid days. I suggest you try it. They have Fish on Fridays unless it has changed.

We entered the Garrison with a group of about 8. The sign said “Seat yourself”. 20 minutes later we still had not even been greeted. We got up to leave and didn’t even receive a “I’m so sorry”. It wasn’t our dress we were in suits and had a uniformed Police Officer with us. We wanted to support locally owned business but weren’t even brought a water. Terrible experience- never again – don’t recommend.
