We’ve eaten at The Gate House each time we have visited Mackinac Island. We are always impressed with the wonderful service, and lovely outdoor dining. This time around, our server was exceptional (Dunja! ❤️), but can I make a request for your mushroom and corn enchiladas? Please change the filling. We had ordered the crab dip with pitas as an appetizer, and I know the filling for the enchiladas was the exact same as the crab dip- minus the crab and just 2 measly mushrooms. It was not good.

We’d love the food the place looked awesome sat by the fireplace patio was beautiful I had the great burger hamburger was excellent wife had to burger with the bacon jam was excellent had two dessert strawberry shortcake and chocolate cake was also excellent Good all the way around Great job guys.

We just stopped for drinks after walking around Mackinac Island. we were able to get a seat right away as they were unusually not busy. The drinks were ok. Our server seemed uninterested when we told him we were just getting drinks. After he delivered our drinks, we never saw him again until well after our glasses were empty. Would have probably ordered a second drink if he was a bit more attentive.

The food here was absolutely delicious. Everyone from our party of 6 enjoyed everything from the cocktails to the main course and then desserts. It was worth every cent. The atmosphere was easy going and casual. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The entire place is cleaned and well kept. I would recommend 100 times over!

This place was very nice and the food was pretty fancy. We sat out on the patio to eat lunch and we could see the Grand Hotel from our seat. I would recommend the Chicken sandwich and the Bavarian Soft Pretzel. The Pretzel was huge!

We went here on a whim while walking back from The Grand Hotel and I’m so glad we did! The food was delicious, my drink was amazing and our waitress was great, very attentive and kind. The atmosphere was great too. Easily one of our favorite restaurants on the island!
