Overall, this is a good brunch or lunch place to eat. Food was delicious, however we were told that they were only serving breakfast that day and a few other things that were not on the lunch menu, but as we were waiting for our food we noticed many lunch meals were being served.

Let me begin with the building. BEAUTIFUL, clean, spacious, bright, nice atmosphere. We had the daily special of sausage, red beans and rice. It comes with a cornbread or roll, salad and 2 sides. I added a drink. All was less than $20. Everything was delicious. The beans were seasoned, I didnt have to add any salt. The sausage was spicy but just the right amount of kick. The side salad was simple, lettuce tomatoes and cucumbers. All fresh and good. My sides were double candied yams…scrumptious. of course the cornbread was yummy. Sweet tea was sweet, cold and refreshing. My first visit wasn’t great, whatever they did to improve the food quality was the right move. Thank you. Sam and I will be back.

This place is amazing! Our server was super friendly and courteous. She made sure we had absolutely everything that we needed and cleared our plates before we even knew they were gone. My nephew had the French toast and he said it was the best he’s ever had. I opted for the millionaire breakfast and the waffle was amazing. They also have some amazing bacon! I would highly recommend this place if you’re downtown and looking for a bite to eat for either breakfast or lunch. Give this place a try! You won’t be disappointed!! ☕️

I ate at The Glass Hat for lunch today and was treated to the brisket, creamed potatoes, house salad, and potato salad. I must say, the food was excellent and the service was well above class-act! Our waitress was very attentive, and our food was out to our table within 10 minutes of ordering. That may seem quick however The Glass Hat offers a small, hometown feel which makes room for quick, prompt service. I do wish the brisket had been a little thicker, but it did not and would not stop me from having it again! Job well done!

Food was delicious! Charlotte was an exceptional server. Great coffee, fish cooked just right. Signature tartar sauce is, indeed, signature and worth a taste. I’ll definitely eat here again. I can’t wait to try their millionaire bacon.

We were in a separate room. Food was excellent and our waiter was organized, friendly, helpful and attentive. I will definitely be going back. The only reason I gave atmosphere 4 stars instead of 5 was because in the open restaurant, it was quite loud. I notice that, because my husband has some hearing loss. Otherwise, all is great!
