We got the fondue and turkey bacon avocado sandwich. Both were good but I wouldn’t say special enough to come back for. The fondue cheese flavor wasn’t too appealing to me but may be just great for others. We visited on a quiet Saturday. The music playing inside the restaurant was some kind generic low key jazz or something but felt out of place for a themed German style restaurant. If you want to see the charming musical characters on the outside of the building come to life, it happens at 1pm, 4pm and 7pm daily according to info on a historic marker across the street.

My brother in law loved our visit to Autobahn 101 in Lincoln City he wanted to try Glockebspiel in Mt Angel. I completely forgot the previous time I visited the food was just okay and they had staffing problems.

If your ever in Mt. Angel I would highly recommend giving this place a try. Me and my wife had an amazing date night dinner. The Ruben Sandwich was delicious, and my son loved his chicken strips. The sausage plates are amazing as well. Fair prices, and great staff!

Our first time here. Food was good, but Spätzle was greasy/oily. Prices were moderate. Menu selection was fairly small. Service was good.

Friendly service but very, very slow. Schnitzel was not actually schnitzel, but a full Pork chop that had not been pounded flat. Mashed potatoes were terrible, tasted like instant (freeze dried) mashed potatoes. For a $20 plate, instant mash is inexcusable. Potato chips served with sausage roll were noticeably stale. Very low effort and it shows.

Honestly great food and just and overall great time. Place was a bit cold with the foot traffic coming in and out so ask for a spot near the fire place or the corner.

Possibly the most delicious burger I’ve ate. Beer was flavorful without the weighing feeling. Didn’t personally care for the watermelon cider though. Love that the menu has many local products and it seemed fairly priced.

The waitstaff was great. We will not be back. Waited more than a hour. Portions and quality came no where near the price charged. The BLT with avocado was missing the avocado. Waitress had to bring them separately. The burgers were small and dry. We were told they just reopened. Several of us at neighboring tables won’t be giving them a second chance. No substitutions, but you could upgrade sides for $$. I rarely give bad reviews. But this was a major disappointment for my wife’s birthday.
