This place would probably be fantastic if they had more staff. Don’t get me wrong, the staff that was there seemed very nice, attentive, and focused on providing good service… It’s just that there weren’t many of them.

Absolutely incredible place trust me on this one, you won’t regret coming here. Not only is the place astounding but the food is delicious as well, and an absolute pleasure meeting Ryan at the bar, super funny and friendly, most staff was very friendly but I dealt with him the most. I had the veggie burger and the pickle chips appetizer and I was truly satisfied, not only with the quantity but also the quality and taste. Thank you!

This is the best food I’ve had in a while! The tacos just looked so delicious, we couldn’t wait to start eating them! We will definitely be coming back for more! We are getting too many delicious restaurants in Louisville!

I hate to write a negative review of The Goat b/c my family and I have enjoyed it on so many occasions. On this day (5/20/23) we placed an online order. We had family in from out of town, and we raved about The Goat. We ate our words long before we ate our dinner. We spent $120 and tipped 20% (we trusted the servers would deserve the gratuity). We arrived at 7:00 to pick up our order that was estimated to be ready between 7:05-7:15. My mother and I sat at the bar and let them know we were waiting for a to-go-order. At 7:30 we asked about our order. “Ten minutes” was the reply”. Four servers worked intermittently and stared at their phones as we waited another 25 minutes. No one apologized. No manager offered an explanation for our wait. Another frustrated customer waiting on pizzas told us that there were only two cooks in the kitchen (a managerial failure). We had already paid online so walking away was not an option. When we finally got our food home it was, to no one’s surprise (at this point), cold. After microwaving our Black on Blue burger, Nashville Hot Chicken and Mac, Chicken Gyro, and Pizza Rolls (the Southern Pizza was still warm and as yummy as ever–and the Goat Cheese Chicken sandwich was warm enough) we enjoyed our food. Our side of mac and cheese and side salad were nowhere to be found. You lost us on this one. Lost our future recommendations. Lost us as customers. If only someone would have made an effort. Offered us a sense of “we care about your business”, then we might have overlooked this one bad experience, but it was painfully obvious that no one working tonight cared.

The Goat is my favorite little spot to stop in after work. Our bartender Alisha is amazing and an absolute gem! The food is so good and always fresh. We got the Hot Buffalo dip (my fave) and some boneless wings with a side of fries. Every time I go I always have a great time!

I am a resident at the apartment complex who either goes to the restaurant for food and drinks or orders to go. The service has declined! The past three times I’ve ordered to go— it’s been over an hour when I should’ve just went and picked up 5 times over, been cold and looked as if someone threw it on the porch!! The bar always appeared short staffed and beyond annoyed to serve anyone except for the blonde bartender on Sunday brunches! She’s amazing! You all need to get it together… I’ll order elsewhere!

There is a reason this place is called The Goat. The food was superb! Our waiter, C.H., was fun and attentive. We lacked nothing, and we had a big party (15, including little ones). We’ll definitely dine here again!
