I called to place a pickup order. The older woman who answered the phone told me there was one person ahead of me. While waiting, I heard her take 2 other phone orders and I heard the older woman and a younger girl talking about someone telling someone else what they said about them. When I yelled loud enough for them to hear me through the phone, the older lady says she had 4 people in the store and I had to wait my turn. I had already waited 10 minutes! She was very rude. I didn’t get to try the food but because of customer service and nasty attitude, they get a 1 across the board.

I have to say this was my first time trying this soul food restaurant but when I tell you LOVE was definitely out inside of the Mac and cheese omg! Literally some great Mac gotta try this out! We had the boneless breast meal it came with 2 side I choose yams and greens and a side of Mac! We also got the 3 wing meal with a piece of whiting (it has a name can’t remember it) and 2 sides came with that and we got double Mac for 80cents extra I believe. Also grabbed 3 strip meal with fries it was kinda thin strips and a small amount of fries. But nonetheless every was hot and fresh!!

I could go on for days bout this food right here but I will not just I’ve tried just about everything on the menu except Pork items and it all buss The chicken is fried to perfection crunchy all around & so full of flavor, my yams sweet and perfect too & the mac mmmmmmm yeah its hittin too This is my favorite soul food spot in Greensboro hands down!!!!!!

What’s lacking in atmosphere (makeover happening soon), is made up in warm, lovely conversation with the owner and delicious food! I tried the cabbage, Mac n cheese, fried fish and jerk chicken – all were DELICIOUS! I’ll definitely make this place a regular!

I loved the atmosphere, the costumer service was great but the food was extremely flavorless. The fried chicken is not breaded like I expected it to be but I still ate it trying to be open minded but it was dry and under seasoned. I tried to power through it but I ended up throwing my plate away. The food was very disappointing. It tastes like they cook for people who can’t have salt. Like they’re afraid of seasonings.

I’m so impressed. 10/10. I had the meatloaf, rice and gravy, and cabbage with the cake. Y’all. When I say this food HIT!!! Whewwww Chile this the kinda food grandma makes when the family is having a big argument and she tryna smooth it over. I got full but the cake was so moist and soft. Lawd take all my money wheeewww yes I will be back. And the owner is mad chill and funny. Very homey.

We have been eating here since moving to Greensboro and we absolutely love the food! Yes you have to wait but it’s well worth the wait! Fast food ain’t good and good food ain’t fast! Love this Soul Food Gem!! They are a really cool couple as well.

I always look at reviews before I try out places, and after seeing the managers response to the customers concerns I DON’T THINK SO. Truly an unprofessional response. Especially when your restaurant have BABY ROACHES I would have demanded a full refund.
