Pretty cool spot. Right near downtown San Antonio, but plenty of free parking. Went on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn’t crowded and lots of covered seating areas. Food was good and drink was strong Music was perfect for a Saturday afternoon.

While I absolutely love the outdoor ambiance of The Good Kind, it’s one of the most lush, vegetation spots in Southtown and totally perfect for pictures, I cannot get over the feeling that I was ripped off with the food. I ordered two things. The corn in a cup was $6 (compared to $3 at a local taco truck) and had no salt whatsoever. The jalapeno poppers were an astonishing $14 and while the menu said that it comes with 5 pieces, those pieces are actually half of jalapenos so technically you get 2.5 jalapeno poppers. To make it even worse, the bacon was burnt to a crisp and two of my poppers didn’t have any cream cheese. I can see myself coming back here to enjoy the scenery and listen to some good music, but I would never order food here again.

First time here and overall had a great experience. The service was incredible. I wanted a zero proof drink and I was made something so refreshing and SO SO good. I also had the fish tacos and talk about flavor! The fish was cooked to perfection, and topped with pickled cabbage and salsa. It had just a little kick, and the spice with the pickled cabbage was such a great mix. The atmosphere is very welcoming too. Very open and surrounded by greenery. Definitely recommend.

When the line is out the door that’s always a good sign. Unfortunately there was only one door open, which made picking up our orders awkward and getting back out the door treacherous! But the food and drink was delicious!!

Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, but the food was just mediocre.

IMPORTANT: there was a gentleman who is allergic to gluten. He called the day before to verify they had items on the menu that were gluten-free. The chicken and waffles are labeled gluten free, but only the chicken is gluten-free, not the waffles! In case you have celiac disease or any other type of gluten allergy beware. I would consider taking off the GF label off of the menu.

First time eating here and I am in love with this place! Beautiful location with a huge outdoor area. There were many outdoor paths to choose from that my daughter loved and dogs are welcomed. I cannot describe how beautiful outside was here! The staff was super friendly and helpful with Gluten allergies. The food was good. Well be coming back during our trip for sure.

The first time I ate here, I had their brunch menu items which were delightful. This second around I tried the burrito for lunch. I saw the ingredients and thought it unique to try out. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the sweet potato paired in the burrito. 12/10 would order the burrito again! Staff is also very friendly and attentive ✨

food was great, drinks were great, atmosphere was great, the cashier was weird and unprofessional. my friend was ordering food and she mentioned she couldn’t eat pork because of her religious beliefs and then the cashier proceeded to tease her about it and said something along the lines of “oh too bad you can’t enjoy delicious bacon with maple syrup MMMM yummy” and she stuck her tongue out while saying that last part. it made us uncomfortable and it’s so weird, rude, and unprofessional to mock someone for their dietary restrictions due to their religion.
