For the price, you’d think that sauces would be made from scratch, not fast food packs. Maybe we just came on a bad day. Steak was basically raw when ordered medium. Mac n cheese tasted exactly like Kraft Mac, powder cheese. Appetisers were barely warm and the marinara sauce was cold (some may like it that way). Burgers look like premade patties from Sam’s club(not from Sam’s club though). Cheap food, high prices. Recession must be hitting hard.

We have heard a lot of good thing’s about this place, and when searching for a new place to go to for date night, decided to check it out. We went on a Saturday evening. It wasn’t very busy, we were able to walk right in and seat ourselves. We waited 20 mins to order and roughly 2 hours for our food to come to the table.. We had a babysitter and honestly didn’t mind the wait, we would have been happy to have a few drinks and enjoy each others company.. But.. Our waitress didn’t check on us at all while we waited, we had to get the attention from another waitress to order more drinks, check on the status of our order, and when it did come, she had to get our silverware, napkins, etc….

This restaurant is trash, between our whole table we experienced cold and undercooked food, everything is cheap bulk garbage served with cheap packaged condiments, nothing looked or tasted fresh. The food costs way to much for such low quality. The restaurant is uncared for, dinngey, and needs maintenance. power outlet covers missing, air vents just tossed half way in the vent hole. Food was uncooked, took a long time for the waitress to check up on us, fries were cold, terrible customer service, place was a disaster. My buddy got the steak was cooked…. barely, all in all will never be back was expensive. Not worth your time.

Literally the only place I ever want to go on date night anymore. EVERYTHING is excellent, everytime I go the food is consistent. I’m never disappointed! Spend your money here, best seafood in the state. Staff is wonderful, I always have the best experience.

Our service was awesome and we had great food as well. Couldn’t have ask for anything else from the food or our service. We had been down to the Ribber in Portsmouth for our parents anniversary dinner and they had and 1 hour and 45 minute wait so we came back up North towards our home in Kingston and we seen the Grand Tavern and called to see if they had availability which they did and we went there and was more than happy with our meals and service. We were celebrating our parent’s anniversary and they had stayed down in the area on their wedding night as they were traveling to their honeymoon destination somewhere in the mountains. We didn’t set out to go to the Grand Tavern but we certainly will be coming back soon to enjoy some of their fresh seafood. Great food at great prices.
