I go to the great commoner when I feel like pretending I’m a white male writer in the 1950’s. I feel like I should be able to smoke a cigarette in here and a cat should be rubbing people’s shins. The prices are astronomical, the employees are a little grumpy, and the atmosphere is immaculate. Worth every penny and hurt feeling, the food is okay but genuinely the atmosphere is amazing. I am in a different world. The music is fantastic, the sun is hitting just right. It’s on busy street so it’s perfect to eat alone in and people watch. 10/10 would recommend, and if you end up going because of this review, tell them Alia Seblini sent you and inshallah this’ll generate enough business that my next meal with be on the house LMAO alr love u bye

I have been wanting to go to this place for a while now and I was finally able to go. The vibe is so peaceful. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bakery/to go in the front and great seating throughout the restaurant. The food was amazing. I must try is the Brown butter . Mouthwatering.

I usually come here for brunch, but came tonight for dinner with my mom. We got an order of lamb arayes and a side of seasonal vegetables. Incredible way to start the meal. So much so, we started devouring them before I took the picture. The seasonal vegetables, to my absolute delight, wasn’t just a thoughtless side of of veggies. This could be a dish in and of itself. Atop a smear of tahini, the perfectly flavored mushrooms, zucchini, carrots and cippolini onions (which tasted like little candies) were wonderful. The lamb arayes were delectable little pita pockets that we would’ve demolished if we didn’t have more food coming. We went with the chef’s recommendation of the chicken musakhan and the aglio E oilio pasta dish. OH.MY.GOODNESS. Absolutely outstanding. Hats off to the chef and the serving team for delivering such an enjoyable experience. If I could afford it financially and physically, I would eat dinner here every day. If you’ve never been, get here asap!

My wife and went on a Saturday morning. We made a reservation w/ our credit card. Don’t be late because your card will be charged. This place can be really busy. We arrived at 8am, when they opened. By 9am it was half full. My wife says later in the morning they get really busy. As you can see from the pics, the interior is really nice. The servers were very friendly. It did take a bit to get the food but I was ok with that because we had time to converse. My wife ordered the French Toast and I ordered the Shrimp & Grits w/ beef bacon on the side. You find any pork on the menu which was fine with me. The Grits were super creamy. I did want my egg a little more runny but it was really good overall. I chopped up the bacon and sprinkled it on top. My wife said her French Toast was good. She’s ordered it in the past. We will definitely come back but only at opening. Not much into crowds.

I was visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this gem while on the hunt for a fantastic brunch spot. To my delight, everything we ordered was incredibly delicious! Even though we arrived 30 minutes earlier than our reservation, the staff was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. The service was outstanding and the food was truly exceptional. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic brunch experience. Additionally, the atmosphere is bright and airy, which just adds to the overall experience.
