It has been a long time since I experienced a brunch as good as this.

Had higher expectations than the service and food we had. The hostess and waitress weren’t friendly and seemed rushed/annoyed, although there were only a few tables occupied. I got the crab cake sandwich with a side of mashed potatoes, and it just wasn’t good. My husband got the veal parm, in which he swore the sauce was jarred and it tasted like a microwaveable meal. A very disappointing date night before Longwood!

We love sitting at the bar enjoying a delicious meal. The bartenders are friendly and the food always tastes great! It’s a wonderful local place that we hope stays open! Nice to have such good food close to home!!

Disappointed. Miserable waitress!! Totally unattentive. Half hour befor we got a drink. she didn’t even look at our party of four for fifteen minutes. Another server finally came over and took our drink order. Mentioned our friends were celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary, nothing. No rolls till we finally asked. Wilted salad with dressing served in a lidded plastic cup like a cafeteria! Silverware, a fork and knife wrapped in a paper napkin. Sides served were barely child size. Tablespoon of potatos, three green beans. Limited beer menu. Could’ve went to a chain restaurant, eaten better, got better service and paid less. Expected more.

We got the cheesesteak. It comes with french fries or sweet potato fries. They were out of sweet potato fries so we got the regular french fries. The Cheesesteak had a certain charm to it. Kind of like your lovable but creepy, smelly but maybe he is the good smelling uncle that drinks beer at your champagne brunch. The roll was pretty standard. I think they melted the cheese onto the roll. The good news is the roll got a little toasty. The meat and fried onions for your standard greasy spoon meat fried onions. The onions spent a long time on the grill. In a different setting they would have added a whole lot of flavor to the meat. This cheesesteak was mostly out of place.

A beautiful location! We just had Sunday brunch there, but it’s excellent for special occasions and weddings.

Had the famous crab cakes. As long as you are NOT from Maryland, they are fine. They are backfin without filler but lacking MD seasoning. (Old bay!) The rest of the meal was ok. The petite filet was well seasoned and cooked properly. The place seemed a bit run down. Hoping since covid is over and the golf course is turning into a park they have the opportunity to spruce thing up.

I planned a surprise party for my wife’s 40th recently. This was not the least expensive venue, but they had availability. Based on the reviews, I thought it would be a good choice. However, in the end, it was not worth what I paid for this experience. Overpriced, marginal food and service at a nicer than average (but not stellar) venue. In summary: lipstick on a pig.
