Been looking for a new pizza shop in Bethel, ever since Famous Pizza changed the recipe and their pizza is not as good anymore. Well folks here it is. They just opened, so the sign isn’t up yet and the menu isn’t really available, but we tried two pies and they are the best around! Equivalent to going to New Haven our opinion!!

I was excited to try this place. Called in a gyro and sm Greek salad NO ONIONS. They say 40-50 min, I get there and they say they didn’t make it and need 10-15 min. I drive around, come back, they say gyro and sm Greek no onions… I pay and leave. Open it up and it’s full of onions on both. I call them and the guy try’s to tell me he doesn’t think he put onions on it and just keep repeating I don’t think so. Then finally offered to make me a new order but it will be another 20 min. I said nevermind, I can’t wait that long and he goes ok thanks bye.

Last minute dinner option. Ate inside with the family and was not disappointed. The gyro plate is huge and delicious. The tzatziki sauce is amazing. The pomodoro sauce for the pizza is unique and delicious, and the dough is so good! The grape leaves are wonderful, and the family ownership is so nice. We’ll definitely be back!

Bethel has experienced huge growth in restaurants the past 12 months. The Greek Wood fired pizza is my absolute favorite. The freshest of ingredients goes into their dishes. I ordered the chicken kabob and a large Greek salad on Friday. Their tzatziki is the absolute best I’ve had. The meals were so delicious and enough for two.

First time checking out this new spot. My Greek friend Lisa & I had the pleasure of speaking with the owners for a while. They are so friendly & accommodating. We had just had a giant breakfast but still had to try their gyros which were out of this world! The meat was seasoned perfectly and just the right crisp on the end. The pita’s & tzatziki were equally delicious. We will be back on a regular basis!

Soooo happy to have The Greek in Bethel! The owner George is so friendly and accommodating, he made me custom tzatziki sauce due to an allergy on the spot! Best gyro meat that I have had outside of Greece! Will definitely be coming back often! Make sure you check them out!! ❤️ ❤️

Can’t say enough about this place. The pita is always soft and warm with actual flavor. The lamb is so tender yet crispy. Everything is authentic and home made. Nothing else compares. George and the rest of the staff are truly accommodating and friendly. The Greek is exactly what Bethel needed.
