The Grille at Challedon offers patrons the chance to enjoy a great meal and great views of our 18th hole. The family friendly environment offers traditional, American-style cuisine with a variety of options for all palletes. Indoor seating is available in our newly renovated bar or restaurant and outdoor seating is available on our new patio overlooking the 18th hole. The grille serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week and is open during course hours. The Grille at Challedon offers a huge selection of fine local wines, beers, and liquors, plus all the domestic and international spirits you desire.

This place was okay the people that work here are really nice. However the food is just okay. The chili was cold and it does not seem to be homemade it taste like it came out of a can. The pulled pork is really good and I had a turkey club that was really good and the salad was okay. It could have used more fixings on it though. They do have outside seating, they also have pretty scenery that you can look out to while eating so I do recommend you go by and check out the place. They also have a bar and a golf gift shop across from the restaurant

Not Worth the Trouble. As residents of Challedon, my husband and I have TRIED to like this restaurant. It’s less than 5 minutes from our house & has draft beer, which we like. Unfortunately, this place is Sooo inconsistent that we are never going back. Tonight they served us RAW hamburger & salmon. When we complained & asked that the hamburger be taken off our bill (wife had already eaten her meal until got to raw bits of raw salmon), the manager came out & took the finally delivered Replacement hamburger—now hard as a rock—away, as if we were trying to Con them. It was insulting. Poor customer service, inconsistent meals and service. Not cheap. Stay away.

From what I heard (from the others in my party) the food is good. My service was not as I never received my food but was given a check for what I ordered hahahaha that was super funny to me. They offered to “throw it together” quickly for me as we were leaving but I did not want a to go order.

We tried the grill a few months ago and the food was extremely salty, including the hamburgers. Okay, so maybe a bad night. We tried again the other day and have some complaints. First of all the lady that took our phone order was very rude. Once we arrived we noticed terrible food handling practices as we were waiting for our carry out order. We could see inside the kitchen and saw an employee not using gloves when the hamburgers and fries were being prepared. The bartender was not properly washing glasses prior to making another beverage. He simply dipped the glasses in a tub of water , dried with a dirty towel and proceeded making a new drink. I’m sure other places use similar poor practices but I rather not actually see my stuff prepared with disregard of good hygiene. Even McDonald workers are more conscious in their preparation. It was so disgusting we decided to walk out.

We have been eating at Challedon Grille for several years now and in fact had our son’s rehearsal dinner there! The service has always been excellent and we appreciate Linda and her crew for a great experience. On a recent Friday evening, the wait service was all young men. We thought that was great to see how well they worked as a team. One of the service staff – Robbie, showed great care for his job and was very friendly and personable. Challedon Grille never disappoints. It will be sad when cold weather comes and we can’t sit out on the patio, but look forward to many excellent meals, whether inside or out!

13 friends and I spent last Saturday here, 4 1/2 hours on the course which was in beautiful condition even after 2 very rainy days and then we had lunch. The burgers, BBQ and crab cakes were a huge hit, as were the all beef hot dogs and a very special huge sausage (spicy, but delicious). 2 guys even took home crab cake platters for dinners that evening, as I have done in the past. Nicest thing about the course was the conditions of the greens; fast, but super smooth and fair. Staff was very friendly too.

My husband and I NEVER get to go out (lots of kids, jobs, yadda…) but on the very rare occasion that we do, we ALWAYS chose to go here. The chef is amazing. It is affordable, fabulous atmosphere and incredibly delicious. I am a vegetarian and my husband is NOT. We both enjoy all the options the menu has to offer. The green soup I had last week was incredible. Kudos to the Grille.

Grabbed lunch at the Grille this week! So glad I did. Had Orange Smash’s (by Devil’s Backbone) which were so fun! They have all the flavors! The chips & salsa were so fresh & flavorful, smoked pork wrap with avocado was delicious & they served the best ranch dressing! (you know, if you know) Kudos to Chef John & the team. Will be back to check out their other offerings.

Had lunch there yesterday. Ordered a medium temp burger with fries. The burger was very good despite being over cooked, however, the service was non-existant. We were the only table inside (outside tables did not have full service) It took 30 minutes for someone to finally take our order, another 20 minutes to get our food, but by then I had no drink and no sign of a server. Then when the server finally showed back up, we asked for our bill. Another 20 minutes later, we actually grew tired of waiting and had to go to the bar the pay our bill. 2 hours for a burger and fries.

December 17 at 6 o’clock we were looking for a good dinner we live in the neighborhood. They had an issue with their online orders. They were very apologetic and discounted our order. The staff handled the problem very well. . The food was worth the wait. Good job!
