I’ve had some nice experiences here- it’s adorable inside, and the desserts are always tasty. Great quiche as well! I did have a negative experience the last time I went last spring. There were about five tables full of people, but when I went to the register, they said they were closed and turned us away. I understand if they were closing, but there were still tables they weren’t asking to leave. I feel they could have offered us a coffee or tea to go, since they seemed to be waiting for the tables to empty before they could leave.

This is the easiest review I have ever written. I will give you contrasting examples. You walk in and ask for your coffee and quiche and would like it a certain way, at Groundabout they are small and personable, you can be involved in the barrista process, or add or change something and the person who is authorized to decide about the change is right there. This is not exactly the case at a place where the business model is cast iron and set by suits in a corporate office.
