Didn’t expect much, but the Gulch Pub was our only stop and eat option that was decently reasonable with price. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet, calm, and open atmosphere. The lower temps and cool breeze allowed for the doors to remain open, which I thought created a nice ambiance. The food was surprisingly good! We both got the basic burger (menu is concise and simple) and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend it if your taking the scenic drive or plan on walking around.

This is the pub located inside the Snowpine Lodge. The food is good, reasonably priced (by mountain resort standards) and they have a nice selection of local beer. The menu was different than what you’ll see online but we tried a lot of things and liked it all. A nice, casual option for anyone in Alta.

Stopped for lunch after a hike. Didn’t seem very busy, we seated ourselves within a couple of minutes. There were less than 30 customers. It took nearly 30 minutes before we ordered. Drinks arrived after asking 3 times for them, and around half way through eating our meal. Only two waiters seemed to be taking and delivering orders, four others seemed to be slowly filling water glasses and clearing tables. The pizza was mediocre. We won’t be back.

The ambiance was great, as expected considering its location. Food was very good. Service was very polite and accommodating, but very un-attentive. We had to flag people down to get what we needed and even when we did that they would forget to return. It was very much worth it.
