When you walk in you see employees with smiles on their faces. They’re always happy to take your order and answer any questions you have about the menu. Place is always clean. Food always tastes fresh and delicious. Haven’t had a problem at this place yet. My usual go-to is a Charburger with cheese, fries and a soda. Their shakes are amazing. I don’t get them very often but when I do I get a coffee shake with Oreos.

It was around 9:45 pm and me and my friends arrived at the habit burger. We walked in and ordered a burger, onion rings, and fries + shake each. Ordering this much we expected a pleasant experience however a young Hispanic lady working the counter decided to take her anger out on us. My one friend had gotten a text that his food was ready so naturally he went up to get it. This lady gave him a bag which turned out to not be his food. As he went to return it she said “that’s not even your food bro” in an unprofessional, aggressive tone attacking him. Then she proceed to blame it on him as another customer lost his fries because of it. Later as I got my food she angrily asked me what I got and when I had trouble explaining the details she got angrier. Finally as it approached 10 o’clock she proceeded to shout from across the restaurant at us and one other group that we had to go now and say there watching in a mad mood. She then proceeded to keep saying it until we left. Please get her fired.

Great burger (bacon cheese). Order was quick, hot, and the staff was friendly. They hooked me up with extra ranch for my onion rings too. Open late on weekends. Will go back very soon.

REVIEW EDIT: original review is for Castro Valley location, as that was my last location visited. Pleasanton/Bernal was quite awhile ago. At Pleasanton, the cashier was was very confused with accepting the No Kid Hungry card value for ANY menu item, she thought it ONLY applied to the Original Char with Cheese, no read the fine print. Then they served tasteless soft serve ice cream. I pointed this out and the staffer tried it and agreed; it was a hot day, I wanted something cold, I ate it regardless. Must have left out a flavoring, like the vanilla and sweetener, as it tasted like frozen milk. Sandwiches are always good, despite service issues.

Frozen patties, guacamole when you ask for avocado, the gnarliest american cheese one could ask for and stale buns. Not to mention about double the wait time of in n out for ANYTHING you order. The Habit…..needs some new habits because it seriously sucks. This burger was $7.79 and I would rather have a McDouble. Never, EVER, again

The service here is exceptional. One employee at front counter named Jeanette deserves a customer service award. She multi tasks so well and always with a smile. I have never been to another burger place with such great service.
