I absolutely love The Half. I crave their sandwiches all the time. The guys over there are fantastic. So friendly, they make you feel part of the family. I’m vegan, and they have a ton of incredible sandwiches that are vegan or can be made vegan. The side of Old Bay Chips and pickle spear (chips & a half) is a must! Great staple in Wilmington!

If you have not yet been to “the half” on Red Cross downtown, you’ve been missing out! Their sandwiches are EXCELLENT, and their beer list is fabulous!! I’ve been saying for many years that we need more lunch spots, and now we have another awesome option! The staff is also incredibly knowledgeable & passionate about what they put out. Very friendly, and excited to talk with you about ingredients, beers they serve, and beers they create!!

Got the Rachel ( ‍ ) it was soooo delicious… the bread, the meat, so fresh and tasty! I also got the potato salad as the side and it might be the most tasty potato salad I’ve ever had!

It’s all amazing now! Certainly worth a stop for lunch. The Harvey was delicious. The Italian Parts Unknown was fine, could use some better bread, but was certainly not the best Italian sub in town. The chips were great and the pickle was worth the extra $1. The potato salad was tasty, but not worth the extra $3….

This restaurant is in a remodeled small building downtown Wilmington. It is a really cool place. The sandwiches are big, made with quality ingredients and the execution is great. The homemade chips are also really tasty. This place is legit and worth trying.

Three of us ate here for the first time. We had heard great reviews about this sandwich shop. It’s located in the Brooklyn Arts district.

Very nice place to stop for lunch, enjoy a quick, well made sandwich and move on with the day. I’ve enjoyed the Caprese many times and highly recommend it. Gluten free options are available! While this place is awesome, parking can be a bit of a bother. Make sure to get there before peak times to secure a spot!

I would highly recommend this place! The customer service was amazing from start to finish! I got The Rachel and my girlfriend got the Italian. We shared and it was some of the best sandwiches I’ve had. They have a nice patio out back that is perfect for sitting outside. They have really good beer selection including some nice options on draft. It’s one of those places that you try once then bring your friends the next time: )

We had an incredible experience at The Half! The sandwiches and homemade pickles are absolutely delicious, the beer selection was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. The atmosphere is clean, cozy, and inviting, making it the perfect spot! We’ve been twice and can’t wait to visit again soon! Five stars all the way.
