Excellent BBQ, flavor is on point. The beef ribs were a bit dry, flavor was still good and solved the dryness with a little barbecue sauce. I don’t know what they put on the okra but it is fantastic. Green chili mac and cheese is also great, the corn is amazing. Everything I had there and sampled was really tasty.

Very clean. The food- decent but nothing to write home about. We had a brisket sandwich, a chicken sandwich and some type of loaded fries. While the chicken sandwich was enormous it was also just as bland . Not grilled how we expected it to be (in their defense it wasn’t advertised as grilled). I believe it was poached. Because I know of other local BBQ joint with far superior tastes I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Stopped in here for lunch after a nearby endodontist appointment. I ordered the one meat plate with brisket. You have the option of your brisket being lean or “moist”. I went with the moist and it was SO tender and delicious! It was so flavorful and did not need sauce, but I am a sauce lover so gave it a try and it was also wonderful.I chose green beans for my side and they were quite tasty. I love how a drink is included with the plate!! I also decided I “needed” some cobbler. Peach was on the menu for the day. Their cobbler is the cake type and did not disappoint. If you are a barbecue fan, I definitely recommend this place. I will come back next week for a good meal before my root canal!

Upon arriving at The Half Acre I Loved the way they Redid the place! Very classy and plenty of Parking! We got our order In got a little bit of everything, beef ribs, chicken(it was boneless), sausage, Stuffed Ground Beef Egg Rolls With Cheese and Chilis and of course The Bacon Wrapped Jalapeños!! Well the Order Did Take a Little Long To get Out and there did seem to be some confusion at the window were you pick up your order! Never the less the lady’s were very friendly and we got our order!! Seating was packed but luckily they had some nice tables outside! Brisket had a nice bark, good cook on it, nice smoke, chicken was good too even though I was looking forward to a little bone , lol. Sausage was excellent, very well made, Green Chili Mac n cheese was Banging, the Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapeños were a little on the heavy smoke side but not overdone and ever so delishous with the touch of Glaze they added!! And my FAVORITE DISH has to be those Stuffed Hatch Chili. GROUND BEEF Egg Rolls (**Definitely Get The Eggrolls!!**) !! They Were Super Fat In Size and Just So Damn Delicious!! By far the best bbq in Midland/Odessa. Quality meat, great smoke. Beef ribs are the stuff dreams are made of. Brisket tender and amazing. Hatch Green Chili Mac and Cheese is amazing. I make it a weekly habit to go here.

As a traveler from deep South Texas (RGV) visiting family in Midland, I can say THIS place has legit BBQ AND Jalapeño Bombers. The brisket was moist, ribs were fall off the bone, Jalapeño sausage was perfect, fries are crispy, the bbq sauce is just right. The place was very clean, and the outdoor dinning area was perfect for the little ones to place some mini golf before and after our meal. The even offered free frozen Popsicles to the kids after our meal. One big UP for me was that they were understanding and accepting of my Service Dog in and outside of thier restaurant. Great food quality and friendly service here. I highly recommend.
