We asked several people where to eat as we were in town for a conference. This place was highly recommended. It was within walking distance to our hotel. It has a beautiful interior with modern touches. The food was delicious. We had the crab appetizer which was very good. My salmon was cooked to perfection and my husband got a burger with the most delectable fries. Large portions and very good service.

Convenient location, nice spacious seating area, friendly staff, fun atmosphere, nice assortment of different drinks, and good food. Everything was on the higher end for pricing but never the less we did enjoy all our meals. The tiki drink we had was delicious. Our friend had the cauliflower and was happy to have a vegetarian option but said she would have liked it to be more seasoned/flavorful. I had the steak and my wife had the fish and we were both pleased. The only thing I would prefer is a little more food/sides to go along with the entrees. Don’t get me wrong the sides were very good, I just would like more of it. I wouldn’t say it’s the best steak I’ve had around here but it is definitely up in the top 3.

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The seafood stew was delicious! Small, pricey wine list but a nice blend of styles. The temperature was a 100 out, yet they kept the restaurant comfortable. Located in a small strip of upscale businesses & apartments. A mix of clientele, 30 something’s to baby boomers. An enjoyable experience.

The ambience was nice and cozy. However on entering the airport we had to wait for 15 minutes at the door before walking in to find someone and ask for us to be seated when the restaurant was almost empty. We ordered a couple of cocktails and a pecan chicken and Korean BBQ cauliflower. It was a dry piece of chicken with a thick layer of breading on a bed of decently cooked cheddar grits, and a side of steamed brocollini. The steamed brocollini was my boyfriend’s only favorite part of the dish, that was sad. My steamed cauliflower was bland, no salt or flavor whatsoever on a bed of totally lackluster white bean puree. It was a tasteless disaster in my opinion. The side of sweet corn was dry too.

Delicious crab beignets. Pecan chicken was just ok – grits were hard and chicken was very bland. My partner got the filet which was good but a small portion. Would try it again.

Delicious . We went there last night to celebrate our 8 year anniversary. Oh yum. The drinks were one point, appetizers were amazing and our entries were just as good. We had clean plates. Oh yeah we had dessert as well and that was awesome! We will definitely returning. No wonder this place is ranked #1 in dport.

We were there and had, up to that point, a nice dinner and good food. All of a sudden the waitress informed us that they needed our specific table esport having other empty tables that were available.

Whenever someone is visiting from out of town I always recommend Half Nelson. I’ve never had food that compares! You can tell everyone on the staff team cares about the service and quality of the food and drinks. The atmosphere inside is incredibly interesting and there’s nothing like this in the QC. Eating outside on the patio is one of my favorite Summer time activities. Getting food to go is also 10/10 as it’s fast and the quality is the same as dining in.

We ate at The Half Nelson last night. We truly enjoyed chatting with our waiter Sam. There are a lot of great looking appetizers, but we used self control and ordered entrees and desserts! I had the Barramundi, white fish, and hubby had the pecan crusted chicken. Both were great and filling! The lemon sauce with my fish was super flavorful. The chicken was crispy on the outside and nice and juicy on the inside. Desserts…..yes please! Even though we were full, we went there. The creme brule was good. The sugar topping was torched to perfection. Then the cake? Oh my….. it should be called a layered brownie! The chocolate was fudgy and moist. It had salted caramel and vanilla(?) buttercream frosting. Wow, that’s rich…and addicting. Surprisingly, we brought half of it home! It was my highlight of the meal. This has been our first time back to Half Nelson since Covid. We made a worthwhile choice and are looking forward to going back and trying the appetizers and desserts as our full meal!
