The place is nice and the staff is great. I think we just had bad luck with our choices of food, especially the turkey burger. We also got a table all the way back by the kitchen exit door so we heard all the work going on in the kitchen

Our experience here many years ago was just OK – nothing special in the highly competitive brunch market of Hudson County. Our more recent experience was much better overall. I thought the rather simple-looking corn bread “French toast” was delicious exactly as it was.

I’m not in the habit of posting bad reviews, but this is a buyer beware (for brunch, at least). This is a beautiful, charming spot with perfect service. But they may be living off of that reputation. The food was so meager and uninspired and mostly poorly cooked/prepared, and the beers were not cold, I felt compelled to let others know. Maybe a Sunday afternoon in August is a bad time to judge a restaurant, but for almost $200 one should expect better prepared food – or at least the realization that something sub-par is leaving the kitchen and replacing it. I mean, it’s not that hard to cook eggs and home fries that aren’t burnt and cold at the same time.

This place was really nice! Prices are definitely on the high end ($19-25 for most entrees) but the food is really delicious. Great service, too. I got the French Dip which is kind of unconventional and is more of a steak sandwich, but I loved it! My friend loved her truffle burger, will definitely be back.

Very nice place. Cozy but still refined and a little more upscale feeling. Great menu and food was prepared amazingly. Service was a bit slow which could be forgiven if weren’t for the fact that a few times the servers could be seen literally wrestling around back at the server station. More comical than frustrating and maybe the boys were just a little wound up for some reason. Will definitely be giving them another shot
