Simply the most delightful little bakery & cafe! The Happy Bakery has become our favorite Saturday brunch spot. The food is delicious and the owner/staff are always kind and accommodating. They have phenomenal breakfast food and the deli style lunch items always leave us satisfied. And don’t get me started on the baked goods! The cakes, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, oh my!!! Definitely keep them in mind for your special occasions or get a cake just because!

Hubby and I made the drive for Saturday brunch. The Happy Bakery is located in a quaint corner house with street parking. There are several rooms inside the house with cozy tables throughout. We ordered a Breakfast Grilled Cheese, a Diner Brunch, a latte, and cold brew. Disappointed in myself for not snagging a picture of the BGC ☹️. The food was yummyyy and made the long drive worth it. On our way out, we picked up some bakery items (cupcakes, cookies) and have been enjoying those all weekend.

fantastic & delicious! A true local gem: vegan, welcoming and cozy spot for a sit down meal or tasty treat. So many fun savory options on the menu in addition to the wide selection of baked goodies! The chickie nuggies a delicious dipping sauces (spicy buffalo, creamy garlic, zesty barbecue!) are a must!

I am from out of state and had to visit twice! Let me just say that The Happy Bakery was one of the key highlights of my entire trip. I wish I could put the bakery in my pocket and take it back home with me. I am impressed that everything is Plant Based (especially being a fellow Vegan) where I don’t have to double check ingredients. The meals are delicious as well as the sweets. The atmosphere is home like and the entire staff was friendly. I am so so sad I had to leave and go back home. If I moved to Illinois, I would definitely consider moving close by just because of the bakery. Spending my money here was well worth it and I’m glad I could support a local, small business.

Oh wow! Everything we had was fantastic. Falafel pita, mushroom melt, soup of the week ‘carrot soup ‘ (changes weekly), Boba fizzy soda and apple cider. Five star all the way. The cupcakes are beautiful

I came in for brunch yesterday, and the team very kindly let me order last week’s special, the donut breakfast sandwich. HOLY MOLY! This was the best breakfast sandwich I’ve EVER HAD!!! I think I can die and go to heaven now, lol! They put like a vegan ham on it along with the Just Egg & vegan cheese, which was absolutely incredible. I haven’t had anything like that in over a decade! It would fool anyone, I could hardly believe my taste-buds!

I’ve gotten birthday cakes and cupcakes there before and have always been happy with my experience! Today I went to pick up a Welcome Home cake for my husband who’s been working overseas for four months but I didn’t make it in time (that was on me- it was ready 2-3 days ago) so it had been sold. That was no big deal, again, that was my fault for waiting too long! I was only still buying the cake because I didn’t want their hard work to go to waste, but my husband is stuck where he’s at and can’t come home yet so that cake would have gone to waste anyway. So we got these cute little rainbow buns for my toddler and I and they gave us a cookie on the house! ❤️ it wasn’t until I got outside that I saw the little babies which gave me a good laugh. Lol they were so kind and accommodating. They have a forever customer in me!

I’ve followed this restaurant on social media for a long time and always wanted to try it, but for whatever had never gone in until today. After months of seeing their posts online, I had very high expectations of the food and staff. Needless to say, I was not let down at all. The staff were all incredibly friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. The food was absolutely fantastic, I wish I had gotten some baked goods as well. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. Will definitely be going back in the near future!
