The Happy Lobster Truck exceeded my expectations. It was delicious and the best part was not having to pay $$$$ for a tiny piece of meat. I def recommend this spot. There are also other food trucks in the same area (we didn’t get to try) and plenty of live music and street entertainment all around.

I was in town for SXSW playing some shows and we stopped off to grab some food at Happy Lobster Truck and let me tell you…THE MOST AMAZING MEAL EVER! I legit had to go back after eating to tell them. The lobster was so fresh, the bun was buttery and toasted to perfection and the fries were seasoned to perfection. I’m still thinking about this meal almost a week later! Thank you so much. I will 100% be back next time I’m in Austin!

Got the lobster grilled cheese and onion rings. Friendly and fast service. Grilled cheese was very hearty and filling! Found the onion rings to be a bit more oil, but loved their spicy cheesy sauce! Would definitely come back to try other items on their menu.

This was my first time hanging out on Rainey and it just so happened to be my birthday and it was more than worth the visit and wait. A lobster grilled cheese where did I begin. This grilled cheese is NOT your ordinary grilled cheese. The bread, cheese, & lobster was so good I wanted to slap the cook! haha in a good way. I am NOT a outside person but the atmosphere and space was nice. This place is a must go to I even save a piece for later I got full so quickly. I will not ever doubt putting lobster & cheese together. Fabulous

I got the junior angry lobster sandwich. It wasn’t spicy though and was around $14 for it. They packed a lot of meat which I love! The bread was buttered. It came with a small side of fries. The fries aren’t the best, but the sandwich was good.

Tried stopping here on the way back home on a road trip. Paid $35 parking fee and they weren’t even open when their hours clearly stated they would be. No signs or anything indicating they’d be closed either. Was able to enjoy lobster rolls at a shop nearby, thankfully.

Here’s what you need to know: love love love this truck! Amazingly juicy and perfectly seasoned lobster in delicious brioche (round) buns with spicy giardiniera. Just perfection. They have a non spicy option too which may even be more popular but I’m all about the ANGRY lobster 🙂 their grilled lobster cheese is over the top delicious too. Cannot get enough 🙂
