We are a traditional steak and seafood restaurant located on Route 1 in Danvers, MA on the North Shore of Boston. Our full, fresh salad bar with homemade dressings, bread and cheese is a fan favorite. Serving items such as prime rib, beef tenderloin, fresh fish, chicken, pork and pasta dishes, we have something for everyone. We can handle Gluten free or vegetarian palates. Full liquor license and a lounge side with TV’s for sporting events and additional menu items such as burgers and sandwiches. We have private function rooms available for bridal and baby showers, rehearsal, retirement, birthday, graduation or celebration of life. We can open during the day for private parties. Wr had our parents 50th Anniversary dinner there last night. We had 22 people. From my first call to book the room the staff were amazing!! Andy was very nice and patient with us. My sister added on appetizers 2 days before and he was very nice about it. Our waitress was as sweet as could be! I wish I got her name because she was amazing. Everyone loved the food. We did open menu and it worked out great. Thanks to Andy and staff for making a great night for our parents.

This place apparently went downhill for a while, but they’re doing great now it seems. The salad bar was heaping with fresh veggies, and the bread and cheese bar, oh my. The bread had to have been made that day, it was so insanely fresh and soft. The crab stuffed mushrooms were perfect, with fresh crab and piping hot cheese.

This restaurant oozes old world charm to a refreshing degree. The service is the perfect level of attention and insight from employees that genuinely care about your experience. We had a table right next to a warm fireplace in an atmosphere we could still maintain a family conversation. The kids menu was over the top but the adult drinks were even better. Please please try the Keoke Coffee after dinner. It will change your life. Also it has a salad bar!

Wonderful place and wonderful wait staff! Scarlett was our waitress and she was extremely sweet and attentive. We were out celebrating my mother because she finished radiation for breast cancer, and my dad let that slip in the beginning and she brought us a dessert to celebrate my mom! Brought tears to our eyes. Absolutely wonderful experience.

For those that don’t know the Hardcover ( it’s been around for quite a while ), it’s a great high class restaurant, with a full bar. I would say the Hardcover is known for its all you can eat salad bar. The salad bar is the best it’s everything, good selection of dressings, cheese and bread, crackers as well. Top notch there. The food is always perfect as ordered, you can’t go wrong dining here.

What a wonderful location. Seating area is broken down into two sections. I went into the less brightly-lit dining area (the other was a brighter lounge). The books used as part of the decor helps make the inside so beautiful. Service was fast and friendly. Most importantly, the food was flavorful and cooked well.

If you live in the area and haven’t been to this restaurant you are missing out BIG TIME!! 10/10 service, food, ambiance, drinks, and prices are not bad for what you get. The included salad bar is also a huge plus. They have an on sight butcher so the meet is extremely fresh and the salad bar too. Desert menu is huge and their apple crisp and tiramisu is out of this world. Like I said if you haven’t tried it make plans and try this place!

Smashed Potatoes
Had a reservation, I was greeted,seated and made comfortable. It was busy and service was still proficient . I went bonkers with extras at the salad bar. Had clam chowder and steak .
