At our spot in Suite 107P of the Cummings Center, we wanted to offer more diversity to appeal to our office clientele that goes beyond the Flip The Bird menu. We received many requests to bring back certain items featured on Marino’s Cafe menu. Therefore, we decided to combine the two, and this is what inspired the restaurant concept: “The Hatchery.”
Because we’re a hybrid restaurant model here at Cummings, this location is now used as a test kitchen for Flip The Bird where we will feature menu specials regularly that you may one day see on Flip The Bird’s menu!

The sandwich was fantastic! In the end that’s what counts. I gave it 4 stars because this is a lunch place in an industrial center… and it took well over 20 minutes to get the most basic sandwich they offer. And the place was only 25% full at the time. It was way too long to wait for a lunch crowd. Tighten that up and they are awesome.

Hatchery WAS great, but now you cannot get an Angry Bird sandwich. They will not make one there! Can get it at all the other Flips, but not the Cummings Center in Beverly. I’ll not be going there, they took other stuff off the menu as well.

Flip the bird is great! Very filling, but the fried chicken, French fries and shakes are all awesome! I almost always order online, and my order is ready promptly and the service at the Cummings center location is fantastic! My only complaint is that I used to religiously order the angry fries, my favorite menu item, and the new version isn’t even close to as good as the original if I’m being honest. The fried chicken is good, but there’s not enough of it where the old version had a solid pile of rib meat! I wish there was an option to order either version, and also adding a little more chicken on the new version I think would make it better.

Our office ordered 4 egg sandwiches. The “What came first” was the best one. (Good ratio with the bread and ingredients) The other orders we substituted sourdough, and the bread was too big for the amount of egg and chz. Maybe serve this on one slice or add a 2nd egg and slice of chz. Besides that, it was tasty!

The best fried chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten! When the competition comes around, we’re sure to try them. The maple sandwich this past year… *chef’s kiss*! It’s probably a good thing I have to travel 30 minutes or I’d be in trouble. If you’re visiting the area, it’s a must hit!

I used to eat here almost every work day, their grilled chicken sandwiches are almost as good as the fried. The only thing is I will often get cutlets of grilled chicken that are charred and paper thin. If you want a grilled chicken sandwich the location on cabot street seems to be more consistent. I brought this issue up once with staff and as friendly as they are, perhaps because the owner was there, they did not want to help me to get a proper piece of chicken.

Everything Ive ordered from FTB has been outstandingly delicious!! My go to is usually the Nashville. Ive also tried the OG. Very good. My girlfriend has gotten the Crybird a couple times, served with gloves. She actually had tears in her eyes! We loved the the fries with the ribs on them. So good. I voted for them in atleast 3+ categories for Best of the North Shore. Yup that good

Ordered a couple of sandwiches to-go and they were great. I do wish I ate my sandwich there because it probably would’ve been better hot and fresh as opposed to warm after my 10 minute drive to Danvers. Quick service, packed well and one of the tastiest chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had.
