In a world of overhyped brunch places, the Hayden offers respite. I refuse to wait an hour to eat breakfast or brunch, I don’t care how good/cheap the mimosas are, it’s still just orange juice and champagne. So for starters, the location is prime for going downtown on a Saturday, hitting the Witte with the kids or stopping by before the zoo. I have never had to wait, even at h10:30 on a Saturday, which tells me that this place is still undervalued, and for selfish reasons I’m okay with that. The coffee menu is excellent, the dirty horchata is such a good starter. We had the chicken biscuit and chicken & Latke waffle. The cheddar chive biscuit with fried chicken, candied jalapeños, onion and pimento cheese is out of this world. I had the waffle, which I love in concept because pancakes and waffles tend to put me down for the day, but a potato waffle has a lightness that didn’t hit me like a train. The fried chicken and apple syrup are so good, brings the breakfast to an interesting place. Prices are good, atmosphere is chic, energetic and fun. Love this place!

A friend and I visited here for the first time this week…& absolutely LOVED it! The drinks were delicious, the space was so cute and inviting, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the food was unbelievably good. My friend ordered Mimosas, and I ordered a Bloody Mary…& later, a Jamaica Estates. The Bloody Mary was extremely flavorful and had a nice kick to it. The Jamaica Estates was my FAVORITE. So light and tropical, which is exactly what I was in the mood for. It immediately made me wish I were on a beach. As far as food goes, my friend ordered their Bagels and Lox (with the Everything Bagel). She said it was DELICIOUS, and exactly what she’d been craving. I had every intention of going in and ordering their Chili Garlic Chicken Sandwich (and I still plan on getting this at some point. It sounds INCREDIBLE…& I do love a good Chicken Sandwich). However, once there – I changed my mind and ordered the Shrimp Noodle Salad. BEST. DECISION. EVER. I cannot even put into words how delicious it was. It was cool, refreshing, and so ridiculously tasty. I’ve been craving it ever since. It was PERFECT for these hot Summer days that we’ve been having in Texas. Please do yourself a favor – go and try the Shrimp Noodle Salad. However, I feel that anything you get from here – you will not regret. As i said – I can’t WAIT to go back.♥️

It was lovely! We made a reservation and it was great we were seated promptly even though we arrived early. The decor was beautiful very earthy. There is a neon sign I didn’t get to take a picture under. The bathrooms very clean. It was out of toilet paper but I just take it as the place is so great must be a lot of people here. The waitress was super friendly. Very patient with me. I am definitely going to be going back here whenever I go back to San Antonio!!!! Now the FOOOD!!! DELICIOUS! I am pretty sure I died after that first bite and was first class into foodie heaven! So amazing so delicious and very filling. The flavor I can still taste it days later! Absolutely delicious!!!! Please go. Like please. I got the salmon scramble. Yummm

Amazing food. Did take a long time to get service and food but the wait was worth it. I didn’t get a picture of the meatloaf but it was amazing. Pastrami sandwich was good, the big chunks of meat were flavorful.

I ordered the old man’s breakfast and it was really good… Went with a group of 13, so we had to wait around 30 minutes to get tables… Barbacoa omlet was a winner at the table, and so were the biscuits and gravy… Overall, a nice restaurant and our waitress was awesome… Negatives??? They automatically charge a fee to tip kitchen staff??? If you want your kitchen staff to make more money, don’t make your customers pay, pay them more money yourself!!! That’s why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5…

First time here today during brunch hours it was such a great experience the staff was fabulous our waiter was beyond nice and super helpful. My food was super good and it was a huge plate pretty filling it is worth the money . Definitely going back and trying different items as well thank you again .
