We brought a huge group and forgot to give them a heads up. They did an insanely good job getting us everything we ordered in a timely matter. Thank you!!

We held our wedding reception at The Honeysuckle and I have absolutely nothing negative to say about anything throughout the entire planning process or the event. Amber was a pleasure to work with while planning this event. She worked with us while we were on a budget and had many options available for how to best utilize our alcohol budget. There were a large variety of food options to work with every preference and budget. The staff was very friendly and attentive during our reception. The space is perfect for a large event as they’ve got an indoor, semi-outdoor, and outdoor area so everyone can spread out. They have cornhole available outside and let us bring other outdoor games. I’ve included some pictures with table decoration/activity ideas. I really cannot say enough good things about the physical space or everyone we worked with throughout the whole process!

The food was acceptable, but the overall experience was marred by subpar service. The queue should have progressed more swiftly. There seemed to be a lack of urgency, necessitating an improved bartender. Whether new, dispirited, or inexperienced, the bartender’s demeanor dampened the atmosphere for my group and other patrons. Patience was tested, and the overall customer experience was undeniably impacted.

What a magical outdoor/indoor venue!! We had a wonderful experience planning a casino night themed holiday party here. The venue accommodated our guest count very nicely (well over 200+ attendees). The outdoor fire pits were the perfect touch, along with the smore kits assembled by their team. The hors d’oeuvres were tasty, and the charcuterie meat/cheese boards were a hit. Svetlana and team were able to work with our budget, even down to ensuring the alcohol tab per person would work for our budget. All of the planning details were nailed down perfectly… even to the casino themed balloon arch photo op backdrop/decor! Also, the bartenders/staff were very attentive and friendly. Looking forward to using this venue again in the future for private events.

Diamond in the rough in the Lakewood area of Durham. Came here after our usual brunch place was booked. Loved the seating concept and plenty of space for children that run (like mine likes to). Here is what we ordered:

We really want to like this place, given the outdoor space and kid friendly vibe, but we’ve tried it a couple of times and always left disappointed. This last time, we arrived at 5pm on a Saturday. It wasn’t too crowded but there were a couple of small private parties. It should have been an easy enough crowd to manage, but there was only a single bartender and a single food runner, so the line to order food and/or drinks was 10-15 people long. After waiting in line for 20 minutes and only moving up a total of three people we decided to bail. We talked to a few people who had just received their food and they said they had waited 30 minutes for that to arrive after waiting 30 minutes just to order. This place is in desperate need of help managing the operations. I hope they invest in hiring someone soon.

The outdoor space is really lovely and they have great places for kids to play and board games. But the food is really not good or worth the price. My smash burger was completely dried out and burnt to a crisp. The catfish po’ boy was half the serving of fish it should have been and looked like it came from a freezer box. My nephew’s burger order was wrong and because it took a long time to get the food we had to just improvise so he could eat. I have been to a bunch of places in the triangle with similar prices that are far superior. If the food was better we would totally come back.

I love the atmosphere here. The location is great because there isn’t much else nearby. The food was fantastic. I would love for them to add a Garlic Aioli for those delicious fries though.

To start, the atmosphere and COVID adherence were great. First and foremost we felt safe eating here. Next, the food. The Durty Fries were to die for. The queso with the smokiness of the ham and the green onion was absolute perfection. Must get 10/10. I had the lamb Kefta without Naan. I’m gluten intolerant and was told meals cannot be prepared at a gluten free station (not celiac appropriate), but have not experienced any symptoms. The flavors were really great. The lamb was not dry, and the sauce provided a tangy addition that came together well with the tatziki and lamb. I wish the portion of the lamb had been a bit larger, but for the quality I can live with it. My partner ordered the burger, and felt it was good but a bit plain (average). Cocktails: I had the bees knees. The taste was nice, the alcohol was strong (which I like), my only issue was that the honey was dipped on to the straws, and did not dissolve into the drink. If you got honey and drink in a sip the flavor was flawless, but if you didn’t there was definitely a need for sweetness. My partner got the not so traditional mead, it was good (no particular ups or downs here).
