Have to admit,I was pleasantly surprised here. “Chicken Bomb” sub was out of this world. My 9 y.o daughter said it was “the best sub she has ever had. We did go back a 2nd time to try their “steak bomb” sub also. I thought it was pretty good,however my daughter took 1 bite&was not impressed.

Hornets nest is the best pizza I’ve ever had! Love this place! Family owned! Dave the owner is so nice and personable! My son did a pizza review when he was one and a half and it’s still his favorite pizza! He hates it on Sundays when they’re closed! I wish I could post the video of my son devouring his pizza even the crust! Also, the best subs around too not just the pizza!

These guys are AWESOME! I’ve worked in Reading/North Reading for 4 years and I finally got over here. First of all, the guys working here are hilarious. I spent more time chatting with them than I did eating my food haha. Their bread is homemade and phenomenal. Steak bomb is my go to. Two days in a row and I’ll be back at least twice a week. Went there with my girlfriend. We knew the place is known for subs so I can’t comment on those but we were both in the mood for chicken tenders. We each ordered a chicken tender “dinner” because apparently you can only order them as a side unless you go for a full fledged dinner which just meant we got fries with them. No salad or drink. How that deserves a “dinner” label is beyond me. We both got a coke zero since drinks weren’t included in the dinner.. price came out to $42!!! Look i understand we are dealing with inflation and high food prices right now but that’s just ridiculous. A 6% inflation rate doesn’t explain those kind of prices considering that we could’ve gotten the same amount of food at KFC for just over half the price. The tenders were VERY average. I have had frozen brands prepared in an oven that tasted better than these ones. For the price we paid these tenders should’ve absolutely blown our socks off. Instead they tasted like they had been frozen and microwaved. The fries were…fine. Nothing remarkable. On top of all that, they didn’t offer any sauces except for ketchup. My girlfriend asked if she could have some sweet n sour sauce when we were served and the guy just seemed to act like he didn’t hear her. They didn’t even offer if we wanted ranch/BBQ/etc. And it’s not like they were busy… there were like 5 guys in the kitchen, one of them was eating and we were the only ones in the store. They at least offered us a free slice of cheese pizza while we were waiting and they tasted OK…. I’m sure their subs are great but I would be cautious ordering anything else there, especially for what they are charging.

While the AC wasn’t cool like I hoped in this hot July afternoon, the food more than made up for it. The pizza was delicious, the salad crisp and tasty, and the chicken salad excellent. The star that store the show however, was the homemade, hot and fresh from the oven sub rolls – simply amazing! Super nice staff too.

Order a sub…first time there…and it was horrible 11.99 for honey mustard chicken finger sub…got chicken fingers with mustard on sub roll…did not impress me…not happy my order with ff and onions 29.55 total to be so disappointed..
