I have been here a few times and quite impressed with all the bar food. The pizza is a 8/10. Burgers are 8/10. The tacos are 9/10. It’s kind of an out of the way place but the atmosphere is very casual and clientele are great.

Great food. Exceedingly friendly staff. They made a mistake in my order, and we got the food to go so I did not notice the mistake until we got home. They still get five stars based on the strength of my experience. Everything else was really good and my wife gets lunch out of the deal as she likes my order the way it was prepared. We will be going back.

Another fabulous meal at The Horseshoe Grill. Dined Al fresco. Ally provided stellar service. We’re starting to become familiar faces and she remembers our preferences. She’s always so friendly and welcoming, we love when she’s our server. Tried the pizza for the first time tonight and it was awesome. So thin and crispy. The sauce had the perfect flavor.

This was a great little bar/grill. They had excellent food and the service was great. I would definitely say this is more of a bar, not a lot of regular seats for dining but we were there for lunch not drinking and we will definitely go back.

Went there on 7/25/15 with a couple friends and got they’re bucking burger with some sweet potato fries. It was the best burger I’ve ever had, all the ingredients looked fresh and you could tell they didn’t skimp on the quality. Beer was very good also, i definitely wont mind driving the 25 min from elgin next time i go.

We were a party of three dining at the Horseshoe Grill on a Thursday evening, arriving around 5:30 pm. We were approached by our waitress Chrissy promptly and placed our drink order. The drinks were quickly brought to our table. We placed our orders (Chicken Marsala, California Chicken and BBQ Chicken Wrap) and our dinners were served in short order. The food was delicious and we all went home with leftovers. Chrissy was very attentive, bubbly and seemed to be happy just being there doing her job. We will definitely go back. Thanks for the great selection of food and the great service.

My fiance and I live about a mile from this place, and had eaten there three times in the past two weeks to try a bunch of different things. Wanted to help support a local business. I went on to Horseshoe Grill’s website to check what their special for today was. 50 cent wings. OK, cool. AND according to their website, half off appetizers 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. in the bar. Nice! So I got some wings to try them, and asked the bartender if that was the case with the appetizers. She said she’d never heard of such a thing. But she went and asked the owner (manager?), and she came back and said, ‘yes’. So I ordered some chili cheese fries for $6. When the wings came, I asked her if I could get some ranch. Get the bill, and the appetizer is NOT half price, and I get charged 50 cents for the ranch. So I told her there was a mistake on the bill. “What’s the mistake!?!?”, she declares. I said the chili cheese fries aren’t half price. With the owner/manager guy standing right there, she says, “No, we don’t do that anymore”. I told her that I SPECIFICALLY asked her before I ordered them (wouldn’t have ordered them), and she said they WERE half price, AND that it says that on their website. “Oh, I’ll have to tell them to change that, then. Sorry.” Sorry? Won’t be back. A business who loses local customers over three dollars, and it doesn’t surprise me that they’ve never been busy when we’ve went in there. We tried…

First time there. Food was good. However, I wasn’t happy when we got the check. I ordered the turkey wrap and it comes with guacamole and ranch dressing on it. I asked if I could just have the guacamole on the side because I wasn’t sure if I would like it on the wrap. I also asked if I could have honey mustard instead of the ranch that comes on it. When the check came I was charged 50 cents for the honey mustard and 1.00 for the guacamole. Not sure why I should have to pay extra to have my guacamole on the side instead of in the wrap or why I should pay extra to switch out one dressing for another. My husband didn’t want to say anything so we just paid and left. I recommend anyone that goes there look at your check closely. By the way, if it was going to be extra to change those things, the waitress could have at least told me up front.
