We stopped in for a hot dog & fries. As always it was so good. I was full after fries & 1 hot dog (ordered 2), hub got 2 hot dog plate with fries & we both got tea with our order. Stop in off Hwy 29 & grab some great grub, you won’t be sorry.

I came last week. I ordered a hot dog plate. And a hamburger plate. I asked for a little ketchup mustard lettuce tomato. When I got home. All I had on my hamburger. Was the hamburger and bun. My family and I. Order from there quite a bit. They have never. Made a on none of my orders. But I will definitely go back again. Because they do have great hamburger plates. Everything they have is good.

Very cut old fashion restaurant. The employees were all very friendly. We ordered chili dogs and fries. The hotdogs were good the chili on top was just okay. The hand cut fries were delicious. Very reasonable prices.

IT IS NOT CASH ONLY!!! But Let me tell you… THIS PLACE RIGHT HERE IS A NEED TO TRY!!! Me and my daughter stopped in to try this place and I can’t begin to tell you how good and delicious it was. This right here wins best hotdog in Lyman/Welford. They do accept cards now also. They have a big menu and I can’t wait to go back and try more!!! Fresh cut fries, homemade chili, I mean come on, where can you find a place like this anymore!!!!! My daughter even chose their hot dogs over BK chicken nuggets… she’s 5…. for real people try this place at least. I’d give it 10 stars if I could ✨️

Todays visit i give NO STARS but, I’m not going to base stars off just todays visit. ok, so I normally leave a review if I have an experience at a place good or bad. I heard about Lyman Hotdog Cafe and decided to give them a try. Ive been several times now without any disappointments. The guy that normally works the register when I come is always super nice and the food is good. I personally like the chili there. Anyways, today the owners daughter took my order. (so, this is what i was told when i called) she seemed nice, took my order and I stepped outside. I have a service animal and I left her outside with the car running so I sat out there while they made my food. I was out there maybe 5 to 10 minutes. I came got my food and went home about another 10 minutes (telling whole thing so people can make there own minds) When i got home my hotdog plate was not right. I asked for no onions and two slaws on the side for our plates. When I called I explained my order was not right and the way I could explain the fries was they felt cold, and tasted stale like they have been out all day. (Not saying this was the case but this was my observation of them as I have been a manager at food places, cook myself and am a business owner. Plus it don’t take common sense to know these fries was NOT FRESH) So, the girl who answered the phone said who took your order a girl. I said yes. She said thats the owners daughter. I’m guessing this was her who answered, not sure. When I stated the fries seemed to be old and the girl who took my order didn’t get it right, she gave the phone to a very nice lady but I could hear her in the back ground telling her that I was being rude which I was not. I apologized if saying the fries seemed that way may have been offensive but that was the only way i could explain them. Anyways, the lady very kindly remade my order even though they were closing in like 7 minutes, and 5 minutes after I returned to pick up the order. which wasn’t my fault either. The boy brought it out to me and was kind as always however, it seemed like he was trying to blame me for the fries being stale. He said i was outside for 12 minutes before I got my food. Ok, lets say that is true. He told me they cook their fries fresh to order. Shouldn’t it take at least 5 minutes to cook? I hardly think 7 minute fries would be stale, lets take it a little further. Takes me about 10 minutes to get home thats 17 minutes the fries should not be old and stale within those minutes and also, when i got home with the new fries they were good. He said they have to be eating fresh. So, I guess the lesson here is eat there not order togo? I’m not sure, as this is the first time I actually ordered to go. Eating there Ive always had good experience.

Great hotdogs and fresh cut fries ..friendly staff and very reasonable prices for lunch or dinner. I really loved the way they decorated the inside of their restaurant. If you haven’t tried this place , put it on your too do list ….

My husband & I came here for lunch, & I got the Dump dog plate … he got the Dump double cheeseburger. Both were amazing!! The dump dog is topped with chili cheese slaw and onions and if you get the plate it is served with hand-cut fries.

This little hole in the wall is so good and worth the stop. The dump dog has whatever on it that they happen to have in the back. The chili dog is so good even the 4yr old approved. The fries are fresh cut and fried to perfection. They also have hamburgers and a fried bologna sandwich that we will try soon.

Went in on my first time. They didn’t have beef hot dogs. Got chilli cheese onions mayo mustard. Hot dogs just had a few onions sprinkled on them. Mayo was runny, chilli was just cooked “ground beef” or a a mysterious meat substance. No seasoning that I could taste in chilli and it didn’t even taste like beef. Hot dogs are the pink cheap ones, no flavour. Waste of money if u ask me.
