It’s like 4 minutes from the interstate & worth the quick drive. Holy cow!! Or… pig. Freaking delicious place. Cold beer too. Huge sandwiches & delicious fried okra. Get the dipping sauce.

I love this place! I love the small town feel, the old inside, and the awesome bbq!! This is a must stop for bbq. My girlfriend and I went here lastnight and it was so good like always. We both got bbq nachos with mixed bbq sauce and an order of fried pickles. The bbq nachos are so good. The pork has so much flavor to it. Very tender and flavorful. Just the right amount of of everything. The sauce is very very good! Just goes well with the pork. Can’t go wrong with the pulled pork here. The fried pickles were so good too. Done just right! Anyway y’all need to stop here for some good ol bbq!!

Best bbq in central IL. My go to dish is the turkey and brisket. My husband likes the rib tips and regular ribs. If you are really hungry try the hog pile! Mac n cheese, green beans, and pit beans are all good sides. Just a warning the mac n cheese has a little spice. Service is always friendly.

Friendly staff, fast service, and great tasting food. Never heard of this place, came in here blindly and would recommend if you are in the area.

Stopped in on our way to Chicago. The wife had a pulled pork sandwich with green beans. I had a smoked turkey sandwich with fried okra. I guess I should not have ordered turkey at a place called The Humble Hog. The turkey was dry, very dry. So dry that I don’t think it should have been served. I used lots of barbecue sauce to moisten it. The tomato-based barbecue sauce was tasty, but much sweeter than I prefer. My fried okra was perfectly cooked. DW loved the pork and the green beans were adequate. We both liked the buns used for the sandwiches. I would eat here again, but I would try the pork next time. Tip: on a cold day, don’t eat in the first dining room. Go through the side door to the other dining room which was much warmer.

The pulled pork sandwich is probably the best I’ve ever had. The pork and sauce were absolutely amazing… thrown on the bun it’s served on… everything together just melts in your mouth. Pretty big sandwich with a good size box of shoestring fries…. 100% worth the cost and the long empty drive to get there (depending on which route you take lol).

I really liked the atmosphere of this restaurant. It had a beautiful and artfully decorated dining room. The music, however, was REALLY loud; 1940s bluegrass, if I had to guess. The food was very good and the lady who took my order told me that everything on my tray, from the fork to the lid on my bowl was all made from corn and biodegradable. That was a real plus and it made me a little less annoyed with the somewhat high prices.
