Had my daughter’s HS graduation dinner at Hummingbird. Joe was our servicer and he was nothing less than amazing. We had a large party yet somehow he keep things moving along flawlessly. The food was delicious, as always. Plus the historic location is breathtaking. Highly recommend this establishment for all your fine dinning needs.

I’ve been a few times, but today was the first time I had brunch! Every time I go, everything has been delicious! The pic is from brunch! Biscuit service for appetizer, 3 entrees split between 2 people. Plus mimosas. It all totaled to about $150, and it was absolutely worth it

Sublime selection of 8 unique and premium oysters. I had the curry lobster pictured, and my husband had the wagyu steak perfectly cooked. Highly recommend for fine dining in Mobile!

There’s a difference between good food and great food, and Humming Bird Way certainly falls into the latter of the two categories. The rotating menu keeps both frequent fliers satisfied and new customers wanting more. Whether you’re at the bar with Dylan, or at a table with Brey – if you’re looking for southern/modern American cuisine with a special twist – look no further.

Great and cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and the food was excellent. Highly recommend their biscuits and oysters to start. My wife had the fried flounder and I had the steak- both flavors were on point. It was a birthday dinner, and we will definitely return!

I made a reservation through Resy, the platform they use through their site. When we got there, we were sat fairly quickly. I ordered a Magic Hour cocktail, it was a tad sweet but it was good. We ordered the marinated sauteed crab claws and it reminded me of sweet fish sauce with mint leaves, which was pretty good. I ordered the Hanger steak as my entree. When I got it, it was slightly more rare than I’d like, I had to send it back to cook a little longer on the grill, my eggs I asked to be over medium but overcooked. When I got my steak back, it was perfect. It was my second time back, I got to try the oysters the first time, definitely recommend the raw sourced oysters & crafted cocktails.

I took my mom here for her birthday and we were very impressed! Prior to ordering, I was reminded by my mom that this is the chef’s passion and is why I was drawn to choose the tasting menu over the a la carte. Starting off, the chef was kind enough to accommodate changes to the first course, due to my mom being pregnant. While I had the oyster, she had the roasted beets. Both amazing! We also added stone crab claws…because have you had them? You can’t NOT order them. Second course we had the oyster “bisque”. It was the perfect amount of sweet and salty. It was also not heavy at all, which was great to have room for the main course. However, I could have had a quart of the soup for dinner. As for the grouper (main course) I was skeptical about the puree, but the chef again did not disappoint. The carrots, grouper, and puree paired perfectly. For dessert we had a biscotti and a chocolate spread (menu attached below for specifics). The biscotti was the best I have ever had, perfect perfect perfect. Disregard bad reviews, we had a great overall experience! After reading the website and finding out the ingredients are all LOCAL AND FRESH, the price does not matter to me. (IMO) If you enjoy a good meal, not scared of venturing out, and trying new things this is the spot for you! Definitely will be returning for more birthday dinners, next is my pawpaws in April. See you then!

Chef Jim Smith makes amazing, masterful dishes that will certainly please nearly any palate. Layers of impressive flavor are packed into every creation of his. But the tastes don’t end there. The bar also puts together fantastic, creative cocktails that adds to your dining experience. To top it off, the folks that work there are quite friendly and helpful. Please don’t miss out on this wonderful place.
