Such a great place. We had a great time. The food was delicious. The cocktails were fabulous. We had the Pork belly Mofongo for app and it was super good. I had the Lamb Kofta Kebabs and my bride had the Peruvian chicken thighs. Both were super good. We had the brownie for dessert. Insanely good! Rachel was our server….. She was excellent. The service was great!!!!

We recently had a private event at The Inn at Glen Gardner to celebrate my daughter’s baptism. The whole process from start to finish was easy and hassle-free. Ashley, the owner, was very attentive and listened to our requests and overall vision for the celebration. The food was incredible! We had lunch and dessert options, along with a beverage package and mimosa bar! Our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was! The staff was very attentive and made sure our guests had food and drinks. We cannot thank Ashley and her staff enough for allowing us to host our daughter’s luncheon at their establishment!! It was a special day in so many ways and we thank The Inn at Glen Gardner for a stress-free, memorable day!

Wonderful location. Very historic. We loved that they sat the big groups separate from the quiet tables for two people. The food was exceptional. We had the salmon, which was very flavorful. The crispy topping was delicious. They have great gluten free options. Sam was a great attentive waitress. The drinks were awesome. The creme brulee was great. We would definitely come back. The only thing we didn’t like was the bar music. It did not match the ambiance which is very serene. We asked our waitress but they did not change it.

Great eatery. Classic cocktails with modern twist. Smash burger to die for! (We sub the fries for roasted veggies-my favorite, they are delicious!) Fish & Chips are fresh and Cole slaw and tarter sauce goes great with the flaky batter. Haven’t had a bad meal yet! Owners & wait staff are so friendly! Top photo is homemade chocolate bread pudding, so rich! Ambiance is modern rustic tavern.

My husband surprised me with a special night out. The place is beautiful! The mixed drinks were not good, and the food was ok. A lot of money for just “ok” food and not good cocktails. I was disappointed. Our server Fran was excellent. We both ordered the specials of the day. My husband’s was a little better than mine. We did enjoy the deviled eggs of the day as an appetizer.

After hearing many great things about The Inn and a last minute opportunity to go out, my husband and I claimed a table for outdoor seating this past weekend. Our food was perfect and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful (get the deviled eggs, you won’t be sorry!). Our server Peggy was super attentive as were the other staff members. The Inn is no doubt a special place in sleepy Glen Gardner. We’ll be back!

We would recommend this place to anyone, it is a gem find and our new favorite place to eat. A relative mentioned that they found an article stating that this was the new top place in NJ to eat, so my husband and I went to give it a try. The reviews were confusing because it looks like it has some negative feedback, but I found out these were for an old establishment, and this restaurant was opened in December 2020 under new management.

The Valentine’s Day menu was insanely delicious! Fantastic atmosphere and overall experience. Fran was a great waitress and made us feel at home. Dan and Ashley set the bar extremely high for what a fine dining establishment is.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our meals at The Inn at Glen Gardner. Two of us ordered the special strip steak and the flavor was off. It tasted old and I don’t mean aged. Texture was a bit chewy. Definitely not a grade A steak. Two others ordered the fish and chips. The fish was flavorful and flaky but the French fries were loaded with salt. I love salt but this was overwhelming. The filet mignon was good but the gravy on the steak and vegetables were again loaded with salt. Hard to believe any chef would think that was the appropriate amount of salt, it was that bad. We ordered the banana bread pudding. The bananas in the pudding were a very strange texture almost like a chestnut but harder. The banana had absolutely no flavor. The bread pudding was served extremely hot and was too sweet, and I love sweet! We will not be going back. We expressed our concerns with the steak and fries and they did offer something else which we appreciated. I truly hope that the owner tastes the fries and the brown gravy and there is no way that she would approve of that. Basically it tasted like you just poured salt in your mouth. I wish I could give a raving review I’d rather do that than this but hopefully this review is taken seriously and the very very excessive salt use is rectified.
