I’ve lived in Sarasota for 12 years and have never been here until today 8/27. Boy have I been missing out. The atmosphere is great. Wes our waiter was wonderful and the food was amazing with plenty left for leftovers. We will definitely be back.

My family and I were in town for the weekend and were recommended the Italian Grill by many locals. We are super picky with our Italian food so had high expectations. We were super impressed by everything, from the fresh and flavorful food to the excellent wine list. The atmosphere and service was wonderful as well. They claim to be the “Best Italian Food in Sarasota”, so we thought we’d try it. Wow. What a disappointment. Entering the restaurant there was an extremely loud person at the bar, that turned out to be the owner. Major turn off. The waitress was abrupt and unpleasant. The Lasagna was all cheese and pasta, with a weak canned sauce. Horrible. The Broccoli Rabe looked like they scooped it out of the trash can. My fiancée’s meal of Eggplant Parmigiana was equally disappointing, plastered onto a pile of bad spaghetti. Here’s a pic of the broccoli rabe… I heard good things but won’t ever waste my money or time there again. And we live a few blocks away. We were hoping it was good, because of the convenience. Cafeteria food at best. Yuck.

I had the best experience here!!! Ask for sierra if you dine in….she was the wonderful women who took care of us. If I could rate it 10 stars I definitely would’ve!!! We got our food in phenomenal timing the drinks were great she was sweet and caring for everyone at our table. I CAN’T WAIT TO COME BACK!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH SIERRA and the Italian Grill!!!!

Absolutely wonderful overall experience. The staff was exceptionally kind and friendly. The manager took the time to greet us at our table and make us feel welcome. We highly recommend the chicken Milanese, however, all our dishes were incredibly delicious.
