Disappointing. Being from Chicago and also liking New York and Detroit style pizza, it feels like this place barely knows what pizza is based on my experience here. I ordered the BBQ Chicken pizza and it was absolutely bizarre. They clearly prepared it in such a way that they cut the crust before putting any toppings on it, and nowhere on the menu did they say it would have anything more than chicken and BBQ sauce in addition to the normal cheese and tomato sauce. But when I got it was covered in an absurd amount of cheese, olives that clearly came from a can, lettuce that can only be described as “not very fresh” and a stupid amount of sliced tomato, as well as some onion and other stuff I can’t even identify. I don’t mind a lot of these toppings, but lettuce on pizza seems wrong and the taste of the olives they used clashed horribly with everything else, and I normally love olives on pizza. The BBQ sauce was vaguely spicy but not sweet, and the lettuce was bitter. All in all, it was way too much to put on a pizza and despite only being 10” I couldn’t even eat half of it before putting the rest in the fridge. When I ordered I thought the pizza seemed expensive but given how much was on it I understand why. I have yet to find pizza I like in the twin cities and I was really hoping for better here.

A deep dish tradition for me! Always great food, good service, and a nice atmosphere. A great place to go for lunch or dinner. Parking is on street so you might have to park away. Clean tables, restaurant and bathroom. Always have too much food and leftovers at home, yay! The garlic cheese bread is also wonderful! Enjoy!

Ordered the 17” Italian Special w/black olives. It was a delicious pizza, and my day was even better with a birthday special. This is some of the very best pizza I’ve ever had. Crunchy crust, delicious sauce, piled high ingredients, great dine-in service. Excellent all the way through! Thank you!

I used to love this place. After school I would come with my friends and we would all enjoy a deep dish pie. I tried it again today and it tasted just as good, but the crust wasn’t it. Kinda gave a cardboard taste. Maybe it’s because I did delivery because food is always best in the restaurant anyways. 3 stars for the good taste.

Waitress is super nice and very attentive. I’ve dined in here twice for lunch and the slice of the day has always come out in less then 10 minutes. Very impressed. The deep dish pizza its self is very delicious and beats all the famous pizza chains by a mile. I like how they put the sauce on top of the cheese, the dough is very good as well. Thank you, can’t wait to come back!

This place is awesome! Want some pizza? Look no further. Get the deep dish! Doughy inside crust with a flaky and butter outer crust. Better than Giordanos…by a lot. First time here and everytime I feel like pizza, I will be back. They stuffed the toppings in-between the layers in the middle and then put the tomatoes and sauce on top. I can’t wait to come back and try the stuffed crust pizza too!

There’s a lot of places to get pizza in St Paul, but this one is a must try! The deep dish has a buttery, perfectly crisp crust. Not too dense, not too light. Topped with diced tomatoes which added a wonderful tanginess. Sometimes deep dish can be dry, but they use the perfect amount of sauce and not an overwhelming amount cheese. Just a perfect balance all around! Not to mention Grand Ave is such a fun area. We liked it so much I forgot to take a photo until it was half gone. This is your dinner spot!!
