I rarely give 5 stars across the board. The people here are great. They add a small town feel in their little restaurant. They will bring you your food if you are eating in or carry it to you if you’re taking out. I haven’t eaten everything on the menu yet, my hopes are too soon. I keep going back to the Jackson house burger every other visit.

There’s nothing the Jackson house does that isn’t near perfect. The staff and man behind the counter are so kind and bring a very small town and friendly feel to the atmosphere. Not to mention the food, the cheesesteak is easily the best in harrisburg and the burgers are simply delicious. No matter how many times I come here I’m just as excited for my next meal there. Could not recommend enough.

I’ve lived in Harrisburg area for five years now and never tried Jackson House until recently. Everyone always said they had the best cheese steaks, and I was not disappointed! Best cheese steak in the area, hands down. Fries were also fantastic. And staff was very friendly. Will 100% be back!

Jackson House is the lunchtime destination if you are in Harrisburg CIty. The food and service is 5 stars. I got the Betty Burger. Parking is garbage but that’s Harrisburg City not Jackson House. Their seating is limited but not a showstopper. They have lunch time hours ONLY. 1030 AM – 200 PM. If you’re there after 1:40 PM, you’re too late! I’ll be back! PS CASH ONLY
