The Jailhouse Joint is a jail-themed diner, with seating inside on barstools at the counter, a dining room, and bistro tables on the porch. We have burgers from a 1/4 lb Inmate up to the 1 lb Cool Hand Luke. We also offer good ole Southern breakfast with cat head biscuits, sandwiches, desserts and weekly specials. We also use air fryers for healthier choice items like fries, onion rings and appetizers.
If you’re out on Pickwick Lake, we also deliver to the Waterloo boat ramps! Just give us a call. We can even bring you bags of ice. See our Facebook page for weekly posts and updates.

If i could give more stars i would! This is the best comfort food i have had yet! Not only is the food amazing but the owners and their employees are the absolute best. When you walk in here you are greeted with a big smile and you leave feeling like a family member. We tried several of the menu items and it was all cooked to perfection and served in a timely manner. We will be going back very soon!

Our food was very good. Fries could have been cooked a little longer. But I should have asked for a crunchy frie, and I did not. I love the decor. I’m gonna have to get the t shirt that says. I have counted to 3 and said me peace. We are new to the area and we will be back. It was a nice drive to come have a little home town food.

We stopped in after spending some time near the river we stopped in because of the smell from our car! I will say my boyfriend and I were not disappointed! I got a classic bacon cheeseburger and fries and it exceeded my expectations! The burger was juicy and flavorful & the fries were fresh & Crispy! I didn’t expect such great food from a lil joint in waterloo, but I will definitely be coming back & next time, to try their breakfast menu!

42.09 before a tip for a hamburger steak PLATE (12.99) I was then charged for an extra order of fries ( that were soggy & was suppose to come with the plate ), a cheeseburger w onion rings, pickle fries that weren’t even good, & 2 drinks & the 2.00 rice Krispy treat that didn’t even have a taste?????? Our server was amazing, she did a wonderful job but the way we were charged and the way they priced it was a little off. We could have eaten at the gas station for half that & got way better food!!!

The Jailhouse Joint is amazing! The burgers are delicious and they make them anyway you want! They are made fresh to order. We had homemade cookies and cheese cake from there, too. They were outstanding. I definitely recommend stopping in and grabbing some food.
