The Juicy Crab® story starts long before the opening of the Duluth, Georgia, first corporate restaurant in 2015.
The Chen family’s inspiration ultimately came from New Orleans and the world travels of Grandfather Chen.
Grandfather Chen was a sailor who traveled the world learning many different styles and ways of cooking seafood.
One of the main influences that every family member loved was the New Orleans style of cooking seafood.
Today, Juicy Crab Franchise has over 40 restaurants throughout the United States and is a market leader in the seafood restaurant service market.

First off I want to say thank you to the manager who was there that night. I was in Tuscaloosa for the day and wanted to sit and eat, they were closing in an hour and her staff was all busy. She personally took care of me and I appreciated that so much. She was nice and didn’t rush me as I knew they would close in an hour. I forgot to get her name, but she worked the night shift on 4/24. Thank you so much to that manager.

I had such a lovely experience when I visited The Juicy Crab in Tuscaloosa. I ordered a seafood combo with shrimp and snow crab legs and some potatoes. It was delicious. I only had the sauce left when I finished. My server, Robyn, was alert, friendly, and courteous. The food came out so fast. My drinks were nice and strong, too. I would definitely sit in her section again. #RollTide to that crew!

This was our Granddaughter’s birthday dinner celebration choice. Love the atmosphere and the food. This was our first time there and we informed our server of that, expecting her to be patient and helpful in the questions we had of some of the menu items, she was NOT, her attitude was as if we were taking up too much of her time. We would have gotten up and left had it not been for the occasion and that it was our Granddaughter’s request to eat there. Although, just as we were finishing up our meal, the server’s demeanor changed, I didn’t want to stay there any longer so, we decided to go somewhere else for dessert.

My visit today was great. Customer service was excellent and my food was hot and fresh. I had the fried pickles for the first time and they were so yummy. I also had one of the seafood combs(crab legs, shrimp, sausage, eggs, corn and potatoes) and everything was very good. I don’t recommend the tilapia and fries my mom had that and said it was nasty. She said everything taste the same and she should have stuck to a seafood instead. Overall I had a great experience with the seafood bag and appetizer so I’m rating 5 stars for this visit!

Came here today to try their new frozen drinks! It was my first time coming and I absolutely loved it. I sat at the bar and Dawson was excellent. He recommended the combo #5 with the Juicy sauce and it did not disappoint. The manger Cameron came over and checked on us multiple time insuring we were enjoying our meal. Overall it was a great experience and would 100% recommend to friends and family!

Let me just say how upset I am about this first the food it took 30 minutes and I was so excited to eat it everything was bland and unseasoned. I was very disappointed with the taste also the meat was so tuff. Employees sitting on the counter on the phone and would stare at me as I’m waiting. The employee felt super mean and like they hated being at work. I understand long days at work but you have to understand customer service. Will not be getting food from this place again.

We had an excellent experience. The spice levels are good and accurate. I had a broil with shrimp and crab legs. Eggs are extra, but the sausage and potatoes are standard. No kid friendly menu… Yes, some children require their own meal, but not as much as an adult. Our waitress was very helpful and honest. She forgot to place our order in a timely manner, but she was honest about it, so it did not effect her tip.. yes, integrity means a lot in my world. Restaurant was decorated nicely for the fall season… Each table skipped for social distancing, had a cute Halloween theme. Will visit again.
