Very nice owner and friendly service. The food was pretty tasty and good quality. They were accommodating to my substitution request. I would certainly eat here again. The Jerusalem salad tasted better to me than the Greek salad, a little went a long way because of the extra flavorful dressing. Both the chicken and gyro meat was good. The restaurant was drafty so we decided to take the food to go. So far it’s my husband’s favorite spot to eat in Macomb.

The place was peaceful and had a great Mediterranean atmosphere with brilliant color and soft music. Great food. Tons of olive oil used, and everything fresh. Service was a little slow, however our waiter was also our cook and cashier. I definitely recommend this place if you want to try something different.

FIrst of all, we were the only people in the entire restaurant. It took 20 mins to get our drinks and all of our sodas were completely flat. When we mentioned the flat drinks, the waitress said the drink machine wasn’t working and made some excuse that the machine needed ice and they had to go to the basement to get ice. She did try that but they were still completely flat.

It is always quiet when we are there but that isn’t a bad thing. The food is always delicious and fresh. I love the beef schwarma! They do both dine in and take out, which is good for the WIU students and locals. My husband an I come often.

We had a really poor experience here, and I’m really not sure if it was a fluke or what. I’ll start off by saying it was the waitress’s first day, which is understandable. But really there is only so much we can let slide.

So, I had my mouth set for this gyro all week. Im at the counter paying. I check my food, an onion fell off……and lo and behold Mr.Roach appeared in a matter of seconds! I went to the car with my food and I just couldn’t. I went back in to get my money. The cashier knew what happened. Manager acting crazy. I’m like, look, please don’t get loud with me. Do you want me to go show your dine in customers this? (A pic of a roach on the counter). Got my $10.30. First, I’m not sure if that’s what gyro meals cost anymore. Second, I’m disappointed because they’re the closest I was going to get to Chicago…..appetite ruined. I really wanted my gyro with mustard, onions, pickles, and hot peppers. Guess I’ll be making a trip to the Chi real soon…..

One of my favorite places in Macomb. Food is always fresh and tasty. The owner is super friendly and informative as well. The dishes are always nicely presented as well. I usually get the vegetarian plate, which includes a bit of everything and is always great.
