Was a great experience here. Had lunch to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and the manager himself came out to hand my dad the complimentary cake from the restaurant itself. The waiters are all very funny, friendly and kind. Food is great too, with not so high price! Recommended!

The food was really good and tasty. The prices are also fair but I did not like the service at all. Furthermore, it was simply awful! The servers that had us that night( a man and a lady) were just not professional and welcoming at all. The were working like they were forced to take care of us. We reserved the private room for a special occasion (my sister engagement) and those two servers made us have a very bad experience. Especially the lady when it can to the moment to pay the restaurant bill. In the other hand the meals and the drinks were simply amazing!

The Hay-Adams has become one of my favorite hotels. The staff is amazing, the hotel is quaint and brings that old-historical charm.

I’m giving this a four because the service was so amazing! The food was okay. I didn’t like the dessert. The attire is not street friendly, please be sure to at least wear business casual. The staff is so AWESOME. I ordered tea which was better than the St. Regis. My experience has been amazing when it come to service. BREAKFAST: Pancakes were solid, chicken sausage was okay but next time I will order bacon, eggs were awesome! Three diners for breakfast came to $110. Ordered, two of the Hay Yard Eggs, one coffee, one tea, and pancakes. It was much better than the midday snack! The service is so good!!!

Dined at The Lafayette Restaurant, a true D.C. institution. The ambiance transports you back in time, seamlessly blending history with culinary excellence. The dishes pay homage to tradition while retaining a modern flair. The walls whisper tales of past patrons, making every meal an experience in history. A delightful journey for the palate and the soul.

Second time back in DC for a weekend and we are in Hay Adams again after 10 years. The food never disappoints and in fact everything was superb! Rack of lamb and Crab gnocchi were excellent. You have to order the soufflé! The ambiance was fine dining yet the wait staff are so warm and pleasant! We stayed for a 3 hour dinner and it was a beautiful and elegant experience

Ernesto was the best server/assistant. Everyone in the building was absolutely courteous. Staff is absolutely friendly, and the food is absolutely fresh. Would recommend for an anniversary of any kind.

Amazing restaurant located in the Hay Adams hotel. Reservations were done via Google and confirmed by the restaurant a couple days in advance. Table was ready 45 minutes in advance. Their customer service from initial greeting through the whole dinner was amazing. Very good wine menu and you also have a cocktail menu as well. We tried a mushroom soup and octopus for appetizers. Ordered chicken breast and bronzini for main course. For our dessert we had creme Brule. Everything was amazing and tasty. We will definitely come back.
