We had a party of 7 and was seated right away. Restaurant is nice and clean but a little warm, seems to be how it is built, but certainly not unbearable. Waitress was great. Drinks and appetizers came out quick and on point. Crab dip and fried tamales were great. Entree consisted of Pirouge, 2 Shrimp Alfred’s, Sirloin steak fried fish, and a shrimp platter. All was cooked spot on and great flavor. Froglegs were moist and did not taste muddy at all. If you didn’t know what it was, you would think it was chicken.. prices are about what you would expect these post covid days. Well done, and thanks for a wonderful dinner on our first visit to Toledo Bend.

The cajun pasta, crawfish, fried tamales, and everything else we ordered was fantastic. Steve was fantastic and definitely has all of his recipes down to a science. We will be back for more for sure. Dont sleep on this guys crawfish! It’s the best you will ever eat.

We had a great experience here. This place was super clean, nicely decorated (for the atmosphere they are trying to convey), and very friendly. Our waitress was beyond sweet and checked on us numerous times, and it was a busy place. Not sure if he was the owner or manager, but a gentleman also came by and checked on us as he made his rounds to all the tables. He came from behind the bar and appeared to know many of the patrons. The food was good. The fried pickles were excellent and we get those everywhere we go. Even the kids agreed. The fried shrimp was excellent as well but my husband said the burger was slightly salty and the bun was nothing very special. As for pricing, it was probably comparable to the surrounding restaurants of the same caliber. We will definitely be back.

Food was excellent. Large fries chicken breast sandwich was fried well, very juicy, tender, and yet cooked thoroughly. Onion rings were great. Rings had inner membrane removed before cooking so rings were crispy and did not pull out of the breading when eaten. Service was prompt and polite. Very well done, The Lake House!

I was weary to eat in the middle of no where but IT WAS AMAZING! Wish it was closer to home, bc I’d eat here all the time!! Pricing was pretty low for how good it was!! I had a crab cake burger and 2 sides of crawfish etouffee.

i love the Lake house. crab cakes are delicious and full of crab meat, not just bread. salmon choice finally close to me,taste like Cheddar’s restaurant.

Worst food out in years. Wasted hard earned money. Owners don’t seem concerned about what’s going on in the kitchen. Took an hour to get our food, waitress forgot to turn in our order. When we got it, it was not worth eating. Batter did not stick to anything we ordered, shrimp, frog legs or oysters. Just a greasy mess.
