Unexpectedly great. First time staying at the lodge. It is very old school, but lodgy and cool. I didn’t know they had a restaurant so decided to try it. It was super cool. Definitely romantic…..too bad my wife wasn’t with me. Everything on the menu looked good. I had the summer salad and the sea bass. Both were quite good. The waitress and others were fantastic!

Loved this experience. Staff was top notch and very friendly. The food (Filet Mignon) was perfectly prepared and presented, we had never had steak this tender before. Wonderful meal and atmosphere. Loved every minute!

Took my family here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and they did not disappoint. The setting was perfect as it was snowing in April and we had the center table facing the widows that oversee the (frozen) lake. The duck was the star of the evening but the you can’t go wrong with the short rib either. The pot de crème and lava cake brought it home. This place will definitely be on our list of restaurants to visit when we annual spring break in Mammoth.

WOW WOW WOW!!! We really lucked out finding the Lakefront through a Google Maps search while staying up in Mammoth Lakes. We were hungry and wanted something unique for dinner. We arrived to Tamarack Lodge an hour before the restaurant opened, and all that night’s bookings were already taken. The front desk staff was friendly and gracious, they built a nice fire in the huge lodge fireplace and invited us to stay awhile (the wind was howling outside across the lake!). We decided to just relax and enjoy the comfortable atmosphere. Eventually, the lodge lobby bar opened and we enjoyed great drinks (wonderful domestic and international wine selections). After about an hour wait, they let us know there had been a cancellation in the Lakefront and we were seated for dinner!

Dinner was fantastic and our server, Mike, was outstanding. He made the atmosphere very enjoyable and helped my friend pick her wine out (which she loved). Lakefront is perfect for a nice meal out. Food always on point.
